Re: Forum Width

When I changed the width for mine, I simply just went into the header file and set a width their, however after seeing your post I have realised mine was the incorrect way but it's ok for me.

Re: 2 small questions

I'v managed to solve my problem which I was trying to get the answer for.

In phpBB2 I could use login.php?redirect=example.php to redirect users after a succesful login, in phpBB3 you would use ucp.php?mode=login&redirect=example.php

Thank you for all your help :)

Re: 2 small questions

I was thinking about doing that but couldn't quite work out what to put, on my previous 2.0.22 installation I used switches in the tpl files to determine what happened to the user. If the user was not logged in javascript would be used to redirect them to login.php?redirect= and the address to the p...

Re: phpBB recognizes MySQL HOW???

I wonder why they won't just update it for you straight away. I have a dedicated server and I am not familiar with linux but I can update all the software packages on my server with just one line which is as simple as this... yum update That will update things such as php, mysql and alot of other pa...

Re: 2 small questions

Thanks but I was hoping that the code I recieved would automatically redirect anonymous users to the login page, where if they succesfully login it sends them back to the previous page. Is this possible? PS - The user->data piece of your code was exactly what I wanted in the first part of my post, t...

2 small questions

Hi, Could anyone tell me how I make a page so that the user must be logged in to view it? And on phpBB2 I understand that to get user data from the database you could type for example $userdata['username'] Am I right in believing that in phpBB3 to do the same task you would type $user->data['usernam...

Re: Help with switch

If no one knows how to add that switch to my forum does anyone know any other possible way in which I can make a part of a page so that it is admin only?

Re: Help with switch

Your live conversion will ignore all modifications, you will lose any phpbb2x mods during conversion. Yeah I no that and I have got a new blank page template from a thread on this forum, and I am just wanting to get my new pages ready to upload when I do my conversion. I need to get them ready as i...

I currently have 2 installations of phpBB, I am currently using phpBB2 as my live forum and I have Olympus RC4 on a second domain so I can get my pages ready for the conversion.
