Re: How to edit automatic generated email for registered users?

Do you have access to your board files or do you use a provider that does not allow you to edit any files?

You need to have access to the files in order to be able to edit the messages.

Re: How to edit automatic generated email for registered users?

Go to /language/en/email/ and edit the TXT files as needed. Depending on your registration settings, different files are used.

Looking for Escape Character in Templates

I'm trying to add some JavaScript into a template file. Part of the code is following statement: var icons = {}; Now I have the problem, that the template parser removes the {} (becuase it's used for variables) which of course causes a script error. The question is, is there an escape character I ca...

Re: Backups and Mods

I haven't tried the ACP backup in phpBB3 yet. In 2.0x it was useless on large DBs because it always timed out.

And yes, a test board is always a very good idea. There are enough free web servers to set one up on any computer. ;)

Re: [BETA] Phoogle (Google) Map

Hi!

Would it be possible to extend the "Show me on the map: No / Yes" setting to "Show me on the map: No / Friends only / All"?

Re: Site Logo Change

Well... Linux/Unix web servers are case sensitive!
When the file is named image.JPG the url is yourstite/image.JPG, not yourstite/image.jpg ;)

And you're welcome.

btw, most FTP programs automaticly detect the correct upload mode.

Re: Site Logo Change

If you can't see it, then you may have uploaded the binary data of the image in ASCII mode with your FTP programm. Try to upload it again (bin mode).

Re: Site Logo Change

Edit imageset.cfg to include the new file and then refresh your image set in ACP.

Re: What does this mean?

You most likely did some changes on line 118 or before which aren't correct.
Verify the changes you made. Can't say more without the code. :ugeek:

Go to ACP -> User registration settings and under "Account activation" select the desired activation method. In your case this might be "By Admin".

Right, if you do it before moving the files, you can do it in ACP :)
