American English

Hi, is there a way to get American English language files for my 3.1 board? My American forumers are complaining. :D I tried the ones on the language button, but they are massively out of date and won't work.

PHP errors

Hi, I just went to the admin index and I got this error. Can anyone explain it? I can't find the 'PHP information page' in question. HTTP input character conversion is improperly configured mbstring.http_input must be set to pass. You can check the current value on the PHP information page. HTTP out...

Re: Entire forum down!

Ok, so I upload bigdump to the old server, grab the entire MySQL database, restore it to the new hosting company, and then run database_update? :? Is that right?

Re: Entire forum down!

Ok, I made a backup from the old forum that I think is phpbb 3.0.11 or 12. I then transferred across to the new host and installed a brand new copy of 3.1.6. I then tried to use the backup from the old forum to restore all the posts and so on. This failed with the reason being that the backup was in...

Re: Entire forum down!

I installed 3.1.6 on my new hosting site. I can't seem to use the backup file though.

Entire forum down!

Heya, I recently had to migrate hosts and I have the very latest version of Phpbb installed there. Is there any way to use a backup from roughly Phpbb 3.0.11 to restore my forum? :? I've just found out that the 'restore' function on the latest inform version won't do it.

Re: Modding Dirty Board 2.0

Ok, cool, thanks! It's now showing up properly, but for some reason the 'send', 'smilie' and 'BBcode' buttons don't work at all, so you can't make replies. And, for some reason, the chat window doesn't automatically scroll down to the latest message. :? I re-uploaded all the m-chat files but it stil...

Modding Dirty Board 2.0

Hi guys, I really like the Dirty Board style , but like a lot of the nicest custom themes it is basically un-moddable (unless you are an expert) since so many of the regular files are missing. The creators seem to be absent so I am basically stuck. :? Is there anyone who could either help me install...

Help me stop new users from posting links!

Guys, I really need some help with a major spam influx. I'm getting hit multiple times a day by automatically registered users and human spammers who post vast numbers of different threads. It is completely killing my forum - my users just can't post anything because they have to wade through people...

Re: Intergrate Phpbb with a website?

0k, I have installed this and it works so long as the user is accessing the website by clicking on the main google link, however, it doesn't work if you press any of the buttons that say 'index' on the website. Is there a way to redirect all the 'Index' links to go to the portal.php page?

Ok, thanks, I'll contact them. I should have a Linux server though, since that's what I asked for.... :?
