Re: Intergrate Phpbb with a website?

0k, I had a go with that and I'm afraid it didn't work. In this case I got an actual .htaccess file and edited it to read:

Code: Select all

DirectoryIndex portal.php index.php index.htm index.html
But it didn't work. Is there something I did wrong? :?

Adding a searchable website template to phpbb

0k, I have a bit of a problem. I'm designing a free-to-play tabletop RPG that I want to host through my site, but I can't find a way to do it. Every option I have tried so far has been a dead end. Essentially, what I want to do is add a simple wiki style web template to Phpbb that will allow me to c...

Re: Windows 8.1 - Will you be upgrading?

I skip every other version of Windows and I never upgrade in the first year of release. That is advice that has allowed me to skip every bad version so far, including 95, and vista. :P

Re: Intergrate Phpbb with a website?

Well that's weird because my forum has never worked with the standard htacess file. I don't know why but it just breaks it. Thank you though, I will try your edits. I was really surprised when I was told that the portal mod I had couldn't replace the Index, I thought that was what it was for, but ev...

Re: Intergrate Phpbb with a website?

I don't actually have a .htaccess because it stops the forum working completely, but the thing is that I wanted to completely replace the index with Board3 Portal and they said it couldn't be done at the moment due to the way portal is set up. It's a big shame as a Portal Index would be an incredibl...

Re: Intergrate Phpbb with a website?

Thanks a lot, I would really like to take a look at that, it might be helpful. Could you explain how it is set up? :D

Intergrate Phpbb with a website?

0k, I currently have a standard forum but I am looking to add a proper website to it and was wondering what my options are. Basically I want to get a free html template and tweak it a bit. The problem is I can't work out how to make it look like the forum is a part of the website. I tried a portal m...

Re: Post Text Question

Can anyone help? I'd be happy if I could just put a line in or move the post text down slightly.

No more Index in Hermes?

Hello, I have installed Board3 Portal on my forum and was wondering, since Portal has an Index built right into it, would it be possible to use Portal instead of the Index? I realise this might be an awful lot of work, but can it be done? Would it be stable to just change the name of portal.php to i...

Re: Post Text Question

0k, I managed to resize the posting font on my own just by reading through the stylesheet.css, but I have no idea how to put the date back in or to add the line. I think I'm defiantly in the right part of the css to move the text down a bit though, if I knew how.... :?

Re: Post Text Question

0k, what I would like to do is re-add the date the post was made just bellow the title of the post, put a dividing line between it and the post text, push the post text down a bit and make the font slightly larger. So, basically, it would look like this post, but with a line between the da...

Re: Post Text Question

I have just realised what was wrong with the theme while trying to install a different mod. It's not CA_Black, it's Hermes that got named 'black'. 8-) I am such an idiot, this is why it's not working. Hermes is Subsilver2 and CA_Black is Prosilver based. I'll have to PM you the URL.

Re: Post Text Question

What I mean is that there are only four files in the /themes/ folder, and Content.css isn't one of them. :/
