Re: Global moderator groups with limited permissions

Unfortunately I didn't put them in Global Moderators, I put them in a group on their own and gave that group permission to move topics, but nothing else. :? It seems like the permissions to copy topics and view logs have been bundled with the move topic permission.

Global moderator groups with limited permissions

I was going to post this in a previous topic where I was being helped but it got marked 'solved' and nobody ever looks at those, so I'm going to have to post it here, sorry! What has happened is I've given two users the ability to move topics by putting them in a group and giving that group global p...

Re: Cannot create new forums

Ok, I'd rather not try the auto method unless I have to, I've messed that sort of stuff up before, so would it be possible for someone to tell me how to undo the SQL? Here is the query you have to execute: ALTER TABLE phpbb_forums ADD forum_logo VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL; INSERT INTO phpbb_config (confi...

Re: Cannot create new forums

0k, it turns out I haven't installed that mod. I went through every change it makes and most of the files weren't even ones I had modified yet. Here is a list of pretty much every mod I have installed at the moment: Quickreply (Evil's, I think), Topic Descriptions, Auto Daylight Savings. If it is th...

Cannot create new forums

I've been getting a SQL error whenever I try to create a new forum. I'm not sure if it's something I've done or not but editing forums still works. It looks like some sort of abandoned mod. Can anyone help? SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] Field 'forum_logo' doesn't have a default value [1364] SQL INSERT INTO p...

Re: Accessibility for someone with visual problems

That is the nature of the zoom function and there is nothing you can do to the forum to prevent that. However, scroll bars should automatically appear in those situations. I've tried it myself and what happens is the right-hand edge of the post remains fixed to the edge of the screen and the text b...

Re: Accessibility for someone with visual problems

It doesn't seem like too much to me, A little bit of inconvenience for me altering a theme would make the site a lot more accessible for him and any other visually impaired users I might pick up. His main complaint is that when he zooms in the text goes off the screen, is there any way to fix that?....

Re: Accessibility for someone with visual problems

Uh oh. :? It works great on the text for the index, I got that to the perfect size. Unfortunately it seems to have had an even bigger effect on the thread titles, and absolutely no effect on things like the messages\Control panel bar or post text! Is it possible to set each font size used individual...

Re: Accessibility for someone with visual problems

0k! Thank you both! I've used the font size to make a special large font theme. :D Could you also tell me how to set a maximum width for the posts and the text they contain? I'm getting a lot of complaints that the theme I'm using is 'stretched'.

Re: Accessibility for someone with visual problems

Can someone help? I would be very happy if someone could tell me just how to make the text size bigger and stop it bleeding over the edge of the page as this would mean I could make a special theme for them.

Accessibility for someone with visual problems

Hello, one of my users has to magnify onscreen text quite a bit in order to read it, but on my new Subsilver2 theme this means that the text bleeds off the edge of the screen and cuts off sentences. Is there any way to modify the theme to stop this happening? Also, are there any mods that make PHPBB...

Re: Preventing Spam in phpBB 3.0.6 and Above [*Read First Po

It could be greatly improved, perhaps by auto banning after x attempts at posting a link? Could be good, but it doesn't seem to affect them at all! One big hole in the mod is that it it only seems to block the format. It also doesn't stop them if they use the link text url format, or just paste the...

PhpBB 'Universal' Translator

I've had a really cool idea. What if we made a mod that tags each post with the language used, then automatically compares that to the user's browser language settings. If the language in the post doesn't match, the mod runs it through Google Translate and replaces the text as it was with a note say...
