Re: [BETA] bbDKP

Re: using request_var() dont fully understand

I'm refactoring some old code. Is this translation correct then ? if ( (isset($_GET[URI_DKPSYS])) && (strval($_GET[URI_DKPSYS] != '')) ) { $this->url_dkpid = $_GET[URI_DKPSYS]; } becomes if (isset($_GET[URI_DKPSYS])) { $this->url_dkpid = request_var('URI_DKPSYS', ''); }

how would you suggest to to this then if use of sessions is discouraged?

Suppose i'd want to save a variable from $_POST['myspecialvariable'] for later reuse in the same form. (aka shopping cart). i need to save its state.

with input type="hidden" ?

Re: What do you like or not like about MODX?

you dont have to use the SQL instructions if the MOD author has provided a working install file. would i be correct in assuming that this is on the same level as your "pushbutton" approach? also, with regards to question 7 and your answer, there is nothing stopping you from releasing a pre-modded p...

Re: What do you like or not like about MODX?

Do you like MODX better than the Text template? no. Text templates are not structured enough i think. we built a php file with TEXTAREA tags to identify the text to be changed. so in a way its a customised MODX, without XML typo there oops. I think (TEXT < MODX). We went for the php + Textarea temp...

Re: MySql Version Dump File of Phpbb

first thing : keep your 4.0.27 dumpfile safe ;) 4.027 is legacy, not unicode compatible so everything is encoded as LATIN. so this is abit tricky.. so on your new 5.x server, set the default connection collation to "latin1_swedish_ci collation" in the main PhPMyAdmin. then create your DB with utf8_u...

Re: questionable utf data files PLEASE help!

yup i see that script in your site sourceview. that would normaly be be inside /styles/template/yourstyle/overall_footer.html but to be sure you can use textwrangler to search for a piece of text throughout an entire directory, it'll help finding out where else that rogue script is still hidden. htt...

Re: Help me with utf8 on MySQL 4.0.12 with cp1251

i don't think Mysql 4.0.12 supports utf-8

you might try upgrading to a recent version, anything >= 4.1 will do.
