Re: Delete multiple spammer accounts at once?

FYI, saved messages (called "Saved drafts") can be found in your user control panel.

Edit: But only if you saved them properly. ;)

Re: "Who is browsing this forum" inaccurate?

That is someone seeing a "Log-in to see this forum", or "This forum does not exist" page. The view online information is written to the database before it is determined whether the user should or should not be there. Also, another user looking at viewonline.php who himself does not have permission t...

Re: no way to order groups (index / who is online)

Oh of course, I had briefly forgotten that this topic was in fact, all about a mod that already exists. :)
It depends on how you look at it, of course. I'd simply never use AutoMOD because I learnt PHP through modding phpBB. And there's plenty more to learn. :)

Re: no way to order groups (index / who is online)

You could implement it very simply in the database by adding another column (group_legend_order), filling it our manually, and changing the ORDER BY statement in the two SQL queries, if you wanted. Not as neat as a full user-interface-implemented mod, but perhaps better than "A. Administrators"; "A....

Re: many forums

You are trying to do something which is almost unique. Ultimately, you may have to pay a company a lot of money to design a custom solution for you.

Re: many forums

Surely you can classify diseases into similar types, either by pathology or symptoms. The problem here is that 6000 forums is a huge number. People will never find the forum they want; it will take them too long. Even if you had thousands of topics posted every day (very optimistically), most of the...

<!-- IF S_PRIVMSGS --> <!-- IF S_PRIVMSGS --> <!-- INCLUDE ucp_header.html --> <!-- ELSE --> <!-- INCLUDE overall_header.html --> <!-- ENDIF --> <!-- IF S_FORUM_RULES --> [...] Why do you have IF S_PRIVMSGS twice? Try removing one of them, I suspect you added in a second in error, and the PHP parse...

Re: Session / Cookie problem (PHP 5.3.0 ??)

Oh, right, that is a well-known bug in phpBB, because PHP changed the way they deal with cookies slightly in PHP 5.3.0. It is fixed in SVN and will be fixed in the next version of phpBB.

Re: Need help PHP.INI and htaccess

Let's not be too pessimistic.

The 2mb limit, is, or was the default. Your hosts may simply not know or never have bothered to change it. It can't hurt to ask them. ;)

Re: Logging in and showing username on external .php page

You will have to adjust the cookie setting. Set the cookie path in the ACP to "/" (or, at least, if it is "path/to/forum/", change it to "path/to/"). This will make the cookie containing the SID available to your script. At present, it is only available to scripts running in /path/to/forum/, or that...

Re: User can delete own message only if his post last in topic

Isn't that how "Can delete own posts" works? Also, you may want to try adjusting the edit time out to 0 in the Post settings page in the ACP. Back up all your files and database. Then, open ./posting.php. Find, on about line 1328, 'S_DELETE_ALLOWED' => ($mode == 'edit' && (($post_id == $post_data['...

Re: Need help with Forum created from this website

Your website is probably sharing the server with other, unrelated websites, that your host also, erm, hosts. These other websites are probably making heavy demands on the MySQL server, and it simply cannot cope. You need to speak to your webhost and ask them about this. It's highly unlikely that a w...
