Re: [RC] Disable links for new users & guests

Just wanted to post a follow up that this little heaven-sent mod has been 100% effective at preventing the spam I was trying to avoid.

I'm wondering now if I couldn't just do away with the captcha for guest posters all together.

Re: Preventing Spam in phpBB 3.0.6 and Above [*Read First Po

I allow guest posting in a couple of sub-frums and I was wondering if there is a mod or a way to block guest posting if a link is in the post? You need to ask this in the mods area, or have a browse in the customise section, this topic is about preventing spam. Thanks, however, if you block posts f...

Re: [RC] Share On [Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Digg, MySpace,.

That makes sense, since I scanned the very first post and saw the features without more detail being given to them. That's a bit inconvenient. It gave me a moment of pause at first as well but given it's just a minor cosmetic thing, and the mod works well functionally, it hasn't really been a probl...

Re: [RC] Share On [Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Digg, MySpace,.

Isn't there a way to only show the tiny icons to both users and guests? That's my true question, since it saves space and also looks better. Not currently, given the way the mod is written. There were reasons given earlier in this thread relating to the way they are being added into that first post...

Re: [RC] Share On [Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Digg, MySpace,.

If you have "Enable MOD "Share On" to Not Logged in Users " set to YES then it always shows at the bottom. You must turn this off to display the tiny icons within the post.

Re: [RC] Share On [Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Digg, MySpace,.

If you set it to show to users who are not logged on, it doesn't look like that.

Re: [RC] Share On [Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Digg, MySpace,.

Hello, That is a great MOD! But I have some questions.. JususADS, I installed in my board .. here is a topic of my board. When I setup to show "share on" to not logged users and "share on" to logged users.. The board just show the icons of "share on" like if I had set to show just for not logged us...

Turning in "Display active topics" for all forums

How would I enable the above option across all forums? I assume there is an SQL command?

Thanks...

Code: Select all

update phpbb_posts set post_text = replace(post_text, 'site-name.info', 'site-name2.info')
They're probably not in url tags, however there are quite a few using the img bbcode. Same thing?

Search & Replace site name in phpBB 3.0.7 database

I run a number of websites that all use the same forum. I recently moved one of these sites to a new domain and now have references in forum posts pointing to a location that no longer exists. How would I do a find and replace to take care of this I need to replace a name in the format of site-name....

Re: [RC] Disable links for new users & guests

I don't really understand why this isn't getting more attention. It should prove more useful than a Captcha, particularly for those that need guest posting abilities.

Btw, what about having the "array of no-nos" editable from the ACP?

Re: [DEV] Disable links for new users & guests

Thanks! I have one question... for right now, I'd like to limit this to just test it out on guests. From looking over the code, it seems like I can just make the edit to posting.php and by changing the first part of that edit to: $no_link_for_you=false; if ((!$user->data['session_admin']) && (($user...
