caspert_ghost: do you mean that the language changes based on the forum user is in? I don't know a MOD that does that, but I do have a forum myself with different language forums within it... just basically named them French and Spanish and that is basically what people talk there. Seems to be worki...

Or maybe not: the thing is, how to pick the ones to be disabled from others? The work is minimal even without doing a script for EasyMOD. One solution would be to do an admin page with switches, but how to keep that secure and unaccessible to the other admin in case the other admin has access to dat...

Code: Select all

if (!$page_next && !$page_prec)
Shouldn't it be !$page_prev?

Well, updated the first post to match the current status. Hope you like the ideas!

You can suggest features and tell your own needs already, but at this point I'm mainly concentrating to my own vision. After the initial BETA release it will be much more easy to figure out missing features etc. :)

Whoa, difference between 4.0 and 4.1 is heavy... I have no idea how to configure 4.0 as I used the handy GUI program that came with 4.1 - so I'm again in the starting point with MySQL. The guides on the web seem not to help much... just followed one and the service just doesn't run. Edit Got it work...

phpBB to work on local machine for development

I've finally installed Apache2, PHP4 and MySQL4 (latest versions) on my Windows. They seem to run fine independently, but connection between MySQL and PHP seems to be errorneus. It seems it does detect user accounts so there is some kind of connection, but I'm continuously getting this error when ev...

Suggestion for (far) future: allow somehow to authors provide alternative versions of other MODs that are made compatible with their MOD. This would be very helpful, though I don't know how many MOD authors are really ready to start providing second level compatibility MODs... I'm at a point where t...

Couldn't you just add a setting to admin cp, so the code snippet doesn't get lost under the pile of future posts? I don't have the mod installed yet as I'm waiting for a final release or maybe for the additional features (it is too simple at the moment, I guess).

I found one problem: if I select nothing (ie. push the answering button twice accidentaly), it counts as if I answered. And as a feature suggestion there could be multiple choice answers using checkboxes. Maybe each correct would count as a one point so it'd be easy to do, no hassling with decimals ...

Demo isn't of any use, because it wants me to register and I don't want to. Maybe a demo account?

Might be, don't know for now. The main problem is that the main part of these MODs do a lot of changes to the phpBB code, so it is hard to compile a clean EasyMOD installation script. I'll have to think what other MODs I wish to support and which changes of mine will make up the bigger much-in-one M...

Begins to look like it'll be a one big MOD then. There are so many changes that it all will probably work only on a phpBB with a small amount of MODs or no previous MODs at all. What I think about it at the moment: - have several EasyMOD installable MOD scripts in one ZIP file + premodded files - as...

There is actually a better way to compact the last topic information. This is what I've done with my index.php file. Well, I've done myself a lot different solution: I've coded so that the template decides what the result should look like. One of my biggest dislikes in phpBB is that it does too muc...
