Re: Board won't display as homepage

Did you empty the cache folder?
Delete everything in the cache/ directory except the .htAccess and the index.htm

You will most likely need to change some settings in the config table in the database if the database is from the install in the sub directory, mainly the cookie_domain, and server_name

Re: Do I use ACP or hosting file manager?

Purging the cache will work for the templates usually. But I do not believe so for the themes (being the CSS files) Those go to the ACP styles tab > themes link on the left > your style refresh Also clear your browser cache for CSS related edits as your browser caches style sheets. Some browsers on ...

What are you using to upload them with?
What styles?
Is it any style you try to upload, or just specific styles?

Re: Creating a simple solid border?

In your CSS in the #wrap id add

Code: Select all

border:  5px solid #D7D9E8;
background-color: #A69B89;
Then change the width there to about 863px
And the first table tab line in the header right after the <div id="wrap">
change the width for that to about 845px

See how that looks.

Re: Navlinks for custom created pages

To have them dynamically inserted, you would have to build a PHP array with the info, then assign it to a template block using the assign_block_vars() function. http://wiki.phpbb.com/Template.assign_block_vars Example #2 Nested blocks shows an array example But if they are just for custom pages you ...

Re: What Mod is this?

That is part of the coding for the mod they are using.
Done properly it would be using the request_var();
http://wiki.phpbb.com/Request_var

but what it is actually doing is more involved.

Re: ACP - Some links aren't working

Actually, this little part in the prosilver head Skip to content is because it was a class change from 3.0.4 -3.0.5 Looks like an update to 3.0.5 that was unfinished. Also check the language files for the ACP for the broken pages. Make sure that the lines are all closed properly eg. 'USER_ADMIN' => ...

Re: Style Diagram

The problem with a diagram is this, the large amount of code HTML tags and corresponding CSS properties to diagram would make the diagram unreadable and quite tough to pull off. The best is to use available tools. First is FireFox, If you don't have it, get it ;) Now load it up with some tools. Colo...

Re: new pages in view online (outside forum root)

Re: [Beta]phpBB3 gWeather 0.0.1

nice mod, works like a charm, but can you make the posibiltie for the user to change from fahrenheit to Celsius? The API that the weather is actually coming from does not provide it, so I have created a function in my development copy to Add Celsius temps to the extended forecast. It will be in the...
