Re: Disabling word censors by forum or category

Is there a way to make the Word Censor ignore certain words when creating links? We use our word censor to correct romanization of Chinese names. So we automatically change names like Chengchi into it's proper Hanyu Pinyin spelling (Zhengzhi). However, since the word censor also affects links, peop...

Re: [ALPHA] Integration for DokuWiki

Can this bridge be as simple as the Wordpress-phpBB3 Authorization bridge described here This plugin allows to use the password from a working phpBB installation to log into a Wordpress blog. You still need to create users in the Wordpress administration panel, but the users may use their phpBB pass...

Re: [ALPHA] Integration for DokuWiki

My webhost ultimately took off some safeties that prevented my 2 websites from accessing one another's paths. So I now almost have it working. DokuWiki can reach the common.php file at my phpBB3 and doesn't crash. What I'm stuck on now is the login - I can't seem to login at DokuWiki. Are we NOT sup...

Re: [ALPHA] Integration for DokuWiki

Is there a way I can use this script across two domain names without using the server paths? I set up DokuWiki on a separate domain name, but I would like to give my phpBB3 users access via their phpBB3 login IDs. I'm in touch with my webhost to figure out why my DokuWiki cannot seem to access the p...

[Request] Classic Post Mod

We have been using phpBB since 2002, and we have an active community with broad readership in our country (Taiwan). Every now and then, someone posts something that many of us consider a true "classic" - you can see examples of what I mean here: http://www.forumosa.org/classic-posts - this is a page...

Add e-mail address column to Inactive User page

The Inactive User page in the ACP lists several columns: USERNAME JOINED INACTIVE DATE REASON I would like to change the JOINED field to E-MAIL ADDRESS so I can weed out some of the obvious spammers and robots from my inactive registration stack I have found the template of the page at /adm/style bu...

Re: Almost got semi-manual integration of phpBB3 & 68classifieds

So then I want to store the a copy of the new_password in an unencrypted field in the phpbb_user table No. You dont "store" the unhashed password. You just hash and store in your other table at the same time as you store in phpBB's table. The logical place to look for the user_add for registration ...

Re: Almost got semi-manual integration of phpBB3 & 68classifieds

No. You cannot unhash a password Thanks So then I want to store the a copy of the new_password in an unencrypted field in the phpbb_user table I've looked at the ucp.php, ucp_register.html, and functions_user.php files to find where the registration inputs are inserted into the phpbb_user table, bu...

Almost got semi-manual integration of phpBB3 & 68classifieds

I have noticed a number of integration discussions here, so I hope this is the correct place to post this. If it is not, please forgive me I'm using phpBB 3.0.2 and 68classifieds 4.0.9. I want my phpBB users to be able to log into 68c with their phpBB login details (we have over 3,000 active forum u...

Well, it turned out to be simpler than I thought it would be. 4 added lines in config.php to define parameters for the second DB 4 added lines in includes/db.php to make the second connection minor changes in search.php and includes/functions_search.php to pick the right connection for queries agai...
