Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Did you import the file using bigdump or phpmyadmin? In phpmyadmin's import dialog you can chose the file encoding - maybe it was wrong?

Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Yeah, my favourite, encoding problems ^^ Are the special characters in phpbb2.sql displayed correctly (just search the file for a user with umlauts)? What is the encoding of your database? utf-8? iso-xxxx? (phpmyadmin, 'MySQL-Zeichensatz') About the passwords: Post #2 in this thread, edit login.php ...

Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Yeah, one more (small) bug found ;) Now you have two options: 1. Download the new version of the script and run it again. 2. Create the specified table yourself: phpmyadmin->select the right database->SQL->insert the following command: 'CREATE TABLE `phpbb3_mybb_passwords` (`username` varchar(25) NO...

Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Just import it to a phpbb2 forum database, then you will see if everything is ok. :)

Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Most hosters have a size limit for uploading a dump. For example, you can only import dumps up to 1MB, but your dump is 3 MB. Then bigdump.php takes care of this and splits the dump in 3 parts. But your dump is not that big, so you can try to import it at once. If it is too big try bigdump.php which...

Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

The dump seems to be fine. What about the forum prefix? Have you set mybb_prefix to 'cr_'? If that doesn't help, you could send me the dump so that I can have a look at it (but that way you must trust me or make the dump anonymous by copying it to another database, and delete user e-mails and passwo...

Re: MyBB 1.2.x ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Hi, I need some information: 1. Script version (see the date at line #3 or so in the script)? 2. MyBB version? 3. Size of your dump? 4. Please check if there is a regular MyBB admin in your MyBB forum (usergroup = 4) (you can check it using phpmyadmin, table mybb_users, and sort the table by usergr...

Re: [solved]MyBB to phpBB3!

Just for the record: MyBB 1.2.x --> phpBB2 --> phpBB3 is possible again ( click ). I have updated the script and it finally seems to work perfectly, after I have rewritten that *!"§**"§* 'sql parser'. I thought of writing a MyBB --> phpBB3 script, but right now it is not worth the effort (...

Re: MyBB to phpBB3!

If it is urgent and if you have enough time you can try this. But as I do not develop the script anymore (I am quite confident with MyBB right now. I wrote the script because I wanted to be able to migrate from MyBB if they started to charge a fee.), I will not give any support.

Re: Python MyBB 1.2.9 ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

You can safely remove those files (I have to add that to the instructions - you see, you are the first beta tester :P ). Only phpbb2.sql is the file you need. The other files are just used in order to save stuff to the hard disk temporarily to save some ram. How big is your dump file? I'd like to ru...

Re: Python MyBB 1.2.9 ---> phpBB2.0.22 convertor

Uh? It (should) convert(s) users aswell! But if you want to login you have to read post #2, as it is not possible to convert the passwords directly. It should convert posts, forums, topics, users, pms, polls...no attachments so far and no settings/smilies/banlist. Edit: waaaaaaaaah - wtf?! Ok, sth i...
