Re: SEO - Obsolete?

I find it rather amusing that you state your arguments as facts. Yet you do not prove your "facts". IT HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY PROVEN BY TOTALLY UNBAISED SOURCES!1 If you look around you can find just as many "UNBIASED SOURCES" and just as many case studies that will "prove" just the opposite. Which is...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.0.11 released

Version's PHP: 5.2.17. Can upgrade to 3.0.11? Please help me. Per the title of that t...

No, the actual forum content is stored in the database. Overriding the files will only assure that the files are the original ones.

Re: phpBB vs. vBulletin

Really harsh, guys. Maybe they are just having a lot of traffic and that's why their web pages are loading slowly. About the new version: looks like they've got a new company name (no more Internet Brands) and a new focus. If the software can't stand up to high amounts of traffic then its use...

Re: Using the $_POST global

I think you are using this library?

I think that this would be an instance where you can ignore the MPV result as accessing the $_POST array would be allowed. However don't take my word on that and make sure that you get confirmation from a MOD team member.

phpBB isn't a host, phpBB simply is the bulletin board software that is being used on these sites.

Re: Where to look for PhpBB Developers...

We do not allow solicitation per rule 1k on this board.

Have a look around the board some (team) members advertise their services through their signature, you are free to contact those users (but only those that explicitly state that they can be hired!)

Re: Sensitive Data in Querystring

Yes, the first request always contains the SID as at that point phpBB can't know whether it can set a cookie. So if you land on the forum, phpBB will write the cookie and set the SID to assure that the session ID is passed to the next request, then on the following page load phpBB know whether or no...

They are free to file a report in our security tracker so that a member of our security team can review it.
However, simply correct your cookie settings. phpBB only uses the SID parameter if it can't write a cookie.
