Or just ignore the post above because it's bad advice and utterly wrong on almost every level. Just use Cloudflare - free certificate, secure, nothing to install, configure or pay for Job done. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30452879/configure-phpbb3-to-use-cloudflare-ssl https://support.cloudfl...

Re: [3.2][RC] Auto db Backup

Just to update, I've turned off optimize and it still didn't work, so I changed it to 1 hour and changed from bzip to gzip. Will report back.

Re: [3.2][RC] Auto db Backup

Many thanks for this great plugin and the update. However, I'm having the same problem as above - I set it to next backup at 18:00 and to backup every 12 hours. But 6pm passed, and when I reloaded, it was set to next backup at 6am (which is correct) but nothing in the store directory, which has 777 ...

I just had to do the same thing again, this time to create an index in 3.2

Should I file a bug?

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.0-RC2 Released

OH - so is there not going to be a popup entry window like on Whatsapp web etc?

And if not, doesn't it rather limit its appeal? Or am I missing something?

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.0-RC2 Released

Awesome work :) yay! Thanks for all the hardwork! Edit: is there a live forum where I can witness the new emojis? I wanna see them XD https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/index.php Perhaps I'm being thick but I don't see where/how you type an emoji (in area51). There's supposed to be some popup window, r...

Re: Support for 3.0 when it ends

I just don't get this attitude of "I want to keep using something obsolete". You have a DUTY to your board users to protect them, and that means keeping up to date. Have a good for things like "passwords revealed through out of date forum software". And then of course, to keep running obsolete versi...

Re: Mail program options to support external mailers?

What I mean is that the SMTP server prefers an XOAUTH2 authentication before it will send. phpbb3 doesn't have that built in, but phpmailer and nodemailer do. So rather than phpbb3 > gmail (not oauth2) I was hoping I couldn't tighten up the security one notch further by adding xoauth2 by doing phpbb...

Mail program options to support external mailers?

Because I'm not a lunatic, my phpbb server doesn't run a mail server. Like much of the rest of the world, I rely on Google's smtp servers. But I'd really like to untick that little box in my Google Apps which says "allow unsafe applications", which requires one-off manual XOAUTH2 authentication to "...

RSS feed not valid: "updated must be an RFC-3339 date-time"

On 3.1.6 here, but try it on your board, too! https://validator.w3.org/unicorn/

The problem is described here:
http://feedvalidator.org/docs/error/Inv ... 9Date.html

Basically, the fix is simple: just add the timezone to the end of the feed :)

Should I log it in tickets?

Re: [3.1.6] Avatars are not displaying since update - but a valid file is being sent.

Unsure, as I only noticed the avatar problem after adding the extensions, which was about 10 minutes after updating to 3.1.6. Since then however, I have disabled all the extensions, and even removed their files. The issue still remains. You are correct, their does seem to be a blank line. This doesn...
