Re: New Firefox ACP issues

Got the same issues here with 3.0.8 now. Cleared cookies, both browser and board. Also seems to be browser dependent, Opera is the only one we can login to ACP with. And note that this applies to both admins, on entirely different PCs, locations and networks. Can't login to ACP: Firefox 3.6.14 Googl...

[Split] 3.0.7-pl1 To administer the board you must re-authentica

All of a sudden, I'm getting the same on our board, 3.0.8. Was using Chrome. Tried IE and Firefox, both of which I'd never logged in on. Cleared cache and cookies too. No go. Opera: Straight in. Weird. Did all the things noted in this thread, cleared sessions, changed to A.B, done all of that. Still...

Re: prosilver: centering large logo to fit within blue heade

a link to your board please :) ? OK, no problem, thanks for replying. I didn't put the link because it really is a bog-standard install. Anyway, the forum is: http://www.reading-forum.co.uk and the header banner is: http://www.reading-forum.co.uk/forum/styles/prosilver/imageset/readingforum_newbann...

prosilver: centering large logo to fit within blue headerbar

One of our members has made a lovely w2000 x h200 logo with the sitename in the center. The idea being that the wider the monitor, the more lovely pictures of the town they'll see, but that the forum name is always visible. What I've like to be able to do is to have the header image fit WITHIN the b...

Re: Mysql probs and slow, host says 37275 posts too many.

That's what I thought, so I asked them for the slow_queries log. Here's what they replied with - note that this shows one particular morning when I awoke to find the database had crashed and I was repairing it. So, in fact, in normal use, it looks like it wasn't killed. While we can see that in our ...

HUGE thank you - it worked perfectly! I just followed your directions - it took a little while as I was being ultra-careful, but it worked!

How can I restore one user and all posts after rogue mod?

To cut a long story short, yesterday a long-standing respected user and mod had his entire account and all posts deleted by another mod (who we've now banned). Two questions here: The damage took place approximately 8 hours after the most recent twice-weekly database backup, which is good. Of course...

Re: View Active Topics No Records

Would there be a simple way, even if via the db, of setting ALL forums to "yes", then?
Although I could probably slog through it, there's a LOT of subforums! :)

A way of displaying simple rss feeds in header etc

We used to use a mod called lastrss, which appears to be not supported now. All I want to do is to take an external feed and display it, in rotation, perhaps 3 lines max, perhaps scrolling, in the header of my forum. In fact, I want multiple feeds, but to keep it simple, I'd just feed it the aggrega...

Re: View Active Topics No Records

Hi, we've updated our board from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 and although I've checked the above settings, it still seems to be "stuck" on just two older active topics, one of which isn't even and active topic - 0 replies! I've deleted db caches, synched everything I can...the only thing I've not done is rebuild...

Re: [RC] lastRSS agregator 2.0.0RC

I think the last few posters are missing what this mod is - it doesn't MAKE a feed for your board, it TAKES feeds from other places and displays them in a ticker on the board.

Doesn't work on 3.06 though, so was wondering if there's an update?

Re: Automatically Remove Inactive Users?

I think something really should be done about working on this for future versions of phpBB. Setting the number of topics per page to something huge seems like a tricky solution. Why not have a text box on the inactive users page where the admin can put in a number that sets the limit on the number ...
