OK, for those of you who would prefer that the title replace your default rank, here you go. If you haven't installed yet, just install everything normally except that you don't need to modify viewtopic_body.tpl or profile_view_body.tpl. If you've already installed, it's ok to leave those files as t...

Ok, a few things. 1. For those of you have haven't access to phpMyAdmin, I've prepared a small database update script (actually, just a modified update_to_201.php). It'll make the necessary additions to the database. IMPORTANT: At the moment, the only databases it supports are MySQL and PostgreSQL. ...

First, I found I liked adding a separate title better than replacing the rank, but simply replacing the rank shouldn't be too much of a change. If people are interested, I can try writing a small extra section to implement that. Second, for anyone who needs a little more help regarding the SQL, read...

'Localhost' is an alias for 127.0.0.1, which is the IP address of whatever computer you happen to be using. It's just a loopback function. A very large number (read: most) of hosts have the MySQL (or other database) server on the same server as the web server. As a result, in these majority of cases...

I am getting the same problem on a board I installed 2.0.1 fresh on. The only modifications I've made to it are in viewtopic.php, so I doubt that could have anything to do with it. The only email I've received at this point is of a new private message, but I can try some others later on. Running: PH...

Yes, I realize a few of these have been posted. However, none of them have really done what I want them to do. So I made my own. Version 1.0.0 is very close. The MOD is currently in the validation system. Please, though, still report any bugs or security holes you may find, though it seems less like...

Usergroups in Viewtopic

This is a very specific request. I have everything figured out except for adding to or executing another SQL query. I am adding a small comment under people's names in their posts based on a particular usergroup membership. As a result, I wanted something like in viewtopic.php where another variable...

Improperly closed italics in english lang_faq

I posted this to the bugtracker a month and a half ago, but was directed to contact the translator, and kind of forgot about it. Anyway, in at least the english lang_faq.php (and possibly other languages) there are some improperly closed html italics. The two I've found (in the latest CVS) are in la...

Users linked for some reason - quirky behavior

I originally install the pre-RC1, and that's when a few test people signed up. One person who signed up, (allocated user_id 5), was automatically made a moderator on the same forums I had listed myself (the administrator) as a moderator on. Any attempt to modify the forum permissions of either user ...
