Re: Registration Issues (with Firefox)

I have noticed over the last few moths that there are more and more sites that do not work with Firefox - it may be to do with some of that add-ons, but I have never got round to trying to prove it.

Re: Custom profile fields in memberlist view

Re: Search Query Causing MYSQLI Errors

This is not an error that I have seen before so doing a Google search there are several possibilities. If this has been working in the past and has now started giving the error then a possible cause of the problem is a corrupt index on the database. If you have access to phpMyAdmin you could try opt...

Re: Displaying incorrect user details in Admin

Another possibility that has been seen before is if the board uses a cache system (such as Cloudflare) and it is not configured correctly. You can select a user but because there is something in the cache it is that data that is displayed. I cannot see a need for any cache system for a board with on...

Can you let me know what has been changed in the code?

This version 2.2.14 is not working under php8. I am confident that the author will fix that when he finds time to do so.
That is a modified version that works with PHP 8

Re: Need help with errors new installation

I changed to version 7.2 and it all worked fine. From memory phpBB 3.2.4 is not compatible with PHP 7.2. Everything may appear to work fine but you are still running the risk of problems/errors occurring at some point. Eventually you will have to upgrade to a current version of phpBB when your host...

Without being able to see all of your files it is impossible to know what the problem is.

A link to your Github account will help.

Re: Pre-setup users before they even sign on for the first time?

Personally I would just ask them to register as there will be hardly any extra effort on their part and it will be safer. The way that you are proposing will entail them changing their password - can you be sure that they do? They will also need to change their email address - can you be sure that t...

Re: Need help with errors new installation

I changed host and my board did not work so I decided to do a clean install of version 3.2.4. Why such an old version? The current version in 3.3.3 The error is due to your host running PHP 7.x which is not compatible with phpBB 3.2.4 - you either need to downgrade your PHP version or, preferably, ...
