vBulliten like control panel

I swear that I recall that someone wrote a mod that created a vBulliten like control panel that tracked post that a user posted in. Am I right on this? If so anyone know the link for it?

Icons next to thread names

Would someone be up for creating a mod that would allow me to put icons next to the thread names like with vBulliten? For example I have a babe forum on my site and I would like to put icons next to the names of the various threads for things like links, movies, redhead, lesbians ect ect. I don't ne...

Invision Board

So I've kind of been checking out invision board lately and noticed that they have a lot of people saying that their considering the switch from phpBB to IB. So is it just the lack of features that people don't like with phpBB or is there some other reason? On another note from what I read it looks ...

I'm having a go at it after reading this tutorial http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=12057 and I'm modifiying phpb_fetchposts mod to get content out of the different forums. I do not intend to create a portal, just a databased website with user contribution to contents and is comming along ...

Is it right that, at the moment, each portal can only take its content from one forum? Would it be possible to create a portal that would take content from multiple forums? For example, I have three forums: Sports, Politics, Business. Instead of having three different portal pages for the three for...

Prompt for input

I'm looking to see if there's mod for phpBB that was developed for vBull. What happens is that when you press on the BBcode buttons a window pops up asking you for input and then it puts it on the page with the opening and closing tags added on. Is it out there?

I plan on installing the calendar mod, although I have not really played with it yet. Perhaps I will make changes once I have it. The problem with using the style admin is that it is not flexible enough to change colors in all the places I need them changed. But I will take a look and see if I can ...

Cause the theme is not so good put together, what i mean is that with surtain hacks it doesn't work good, like callendar enz.... this is because all the settings are done in css so you can't modify anything in the admin section ;-( This is why i ask. That would be my only suggestion. Is to allow pe...

You could always stick this in a .php file, upload it to your phpBB directory, and run it. <?php $phpbb_root_path = "./"; include($phpbb_root_path . 'extension.inc'); include($phpbb_root_path . 'config.'.$phpEx); $connect=mysql_connect($dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpasswd); mysql_select_db($dbname, $db); my...

Install problem due to theme

Ok I followed the instructions word for word but after talking to another admin he said that if you had a theme other then subSilver when upgrading that you need to change it back to the default before you upgraded. Well I found this out after the fact. I think it should be noted in the instructions...

The discussion of a recent vulnerability in someone's website usually doesn't go on in public. If I knew ffeingol personally or had been around here long enough, I would ask him privately. But since I satisfy neither, I wouldn't ask him about it, nor would I think of suggesting everybody flood him ...
