Re: My own navigation bar

Got'cha! Thanks! I understand. I'm going to try this and I may end up creating a couple child styles and uninstall the Button Menu ext.

Re: My own navigation bar

Am I correct in assuming that the code given in this post can be used instead of the Button Menu extension?

Re: My own navigation bar

Ah yes! The color settings. I never could get them to work but blue is fine for me. I don't have any way to test responsiveness so I didn't concern myself with that. My board and website are based on a PC game that can't be played on a mobile device, and there's nothing important enough to post that...

Re: A bit scared about updating - some questions

If emails sent from your forum are ending up in people's spam folders, those people have to be made aware that they have to configure their spam filters to accept email from your domain. I added a line on the registration terms page about this. Something like this: Please make sure you configure you...

Re: My own navigation bar

Re: Headers and/or Logo's

Generally speaking, jpg images will not be as good as png. If it's a little blurry as a png and you convert it to jpg, chances are it will get blurrier.

You also could set up a couple of Q&A's during registration that only those you want to be members would know the answer to.
That option can be found in ACP > GENERAL > BOARD CONFIGURATION > Spambot countermeasures > Available plugins > Installed plugins

Re: Adding 'View your posts' and 'View new posts' in the header menu

You don't have to show them if it's in the open on the header. I guess you missed what I said in one of my previous posts . Unfortunately it's not quite as cut and dry as you might think. Back when I was using phpBB 3.0.xx ( before I updated to 3.1.6 ) I used the View or mark unread posts mod , whi...

Re: Adding 'View your posts' and 'View new posts' in the header menu

But Paph that proves my point further: you had these functions in the open and users weren't quick to adopt. How can removing it further in a dropdown menu improve understanding? I had to use a similar mod to the two extensions I mentioned previously to get their attention and to show them where it...
