Re: Upgrading from phpBB 3.0.12 to phpBB 3.1.5 - removing the leftover code.

<?php /** * Version 1.3.4 Oyabun1 2015 ( phpBB 3.1.5 ) Will this work with 3.1.6 or should I update to 3.1.5, run this file, then update that to 3.1.6? It has been checked to work with 3.1.6 Great! Thanks. I understand about using the modission_reset.php file to clean the database of the unneeded t...

Upgrading from phpBB 3.0.9 to phpBB 3.1.6 - removing the leftover code.

This may be a silly question but as it says in this post title, I'm going to upgrade from 3.0.9 to 3.1.6 ( yea I know, I'm a bit behind the times  ). I have a few mods installed on the current board and I understand about using the modission_reset.php file to clean the database of the unneeded ...

Re: Fulltext native error after updating from 3.1.4 to 3.1.5

I came here looking for info on this same error issue and Oyabun1's post did the trick, along with the other 2 posts about clearing the cache. Thanks folks. Much appreciated. I would like to add; in Oyabun1's post, when I clicked on 'Select all' it added a space at the end of the selection, which ma...

Re: Backing up phpBB database

I know about that option, but I've read a few times that using phpMyAdmin was a better choice on boards with databases over about 5 MB.

Re: Backing up phpBB database

I did see that page before, but I'm not transferring my board. It's already been transfered.

It shows to check the box to Add Create Procedure, but the tables already exist so I'm not wanting to create them. I just want to overwrite the existing tables if the MySQL Upgrader causes any problems.

Backing up phpBB database

I run a phpBB forum and I recently transferred my site to a different server. The old server ran MySQL V-5.1.63 and the new server runs MySQL 5.1.65. I think I need to run a MySQL Upgrader to configure the data to the version of MySQL on the new server, but I want to back up the database first, in c...

Re: Upgrading phpBB and MySQL

One more quick question.

Will updating to phpBB 3.0.11 help or hurt the forum that got moved to the server with the older version of MySQL, prior to updating MySQL?

Re: Upgrading phpBB and MySQL

Thanks. So far it appears that the only board having default value problem is the one that got moved to the older MySQL version. I'll download the 3.0.9 MySQL Upgrader and see if that will fix it, even though we're going backwards. Of course it would be better if I could talk the host into upgradein...

Upgrading phpBB and MySQL

I have two phpBB forums, both are version 3.0.9 and I want to update them to 3.0.11. I recently had to move both forums to two different servers, both of them have different versions of MySQL than the original server I was on, which was MySQL 5.1.63. Server 1: MySQL 5.0.95 Server 2: MySQL 5.1.65 Que...

Re: Last Active column not displaying in Memberlist

Bingo! That did it. One of the groups I'm in was set to never. I changed it to no. Now I'm back to normal.

Thank you kindly.

Re: Last Active column not displaying in Memberlist

OK! I just noticed something else. I can no longer view hidden on line users, but I have the permissions set so that I can.

Maybe you're on to something. I'll look into it a little more, but I've checked all the permissions and they are all yes, for everything for me - Full Admin.

Re: Last Active column not displaying in Memberlist

I'm not sure I see the connection between 'Can view hidden online users' and the Last Active column in the memberlist, however, I am the admin and I have the permission set to yes for everything in the Groups' permissions. I'm not concerned about registered users seeing that column. I'm just curious...
