Probably too general a search.

Try google and you'll find lots of information about this in general.

But trust me when I say it's a waste of time.

Strongly suggest you don't bother with this. It doesn't protect your images at all and angers folks who use the right click for other contextual things. All one has to do is disable javascript, drag the image to the desktop or use the "print screen" key to capture it. If someone wants your images, t...

We do not recommend use of ancient versions of phpBB for obvious reasons.

It's a host issue for sure. You'll need to talk to them about it.

Nuckfan has given you your likely answer. I have had my hosts mysql server go down while my sites server was unaffected. Hence I could go to my home page of my site, but once I tried to use something depending on mysql, it didn't work because that server was down at the time. This is clearly an issu...

The term "suitable free host" is an oxymoron.

We don't recommend them and suggest low cost, more appropriate hosting.

Ask about such at www.webhostingtalk.com

If you just want to test it out locally, you can install something like xampp or easy php to meet our requirements locally.

General admin -> configuration ->Enable GZip Compression

If you to to the above from your phpBB control panel, is the gzip compression enabled?

Sometimes that'll help with speed, otherwise, it looks like you just have crappy hosting. As has been mentioned, even your home page loads dead slow.

We don't support those sort of "one click from a cpanel"sort of installs. I strongly suggest a proper install (of the latest version from here), followed by the procedure (step by step) already given to you by a previous poster. Qustions involving ftp'ing/uploading files, etc. fall under hosting iss...

You didn't answer my question.

Did you install the main forum (phpBB script) from your hosts cpanel or not?

Yes or no.
