Re: User Reminder

that shouldn't be difficult to code as there is a column called user_lastpost_time in USERS_TABLE. Maybe even $user->data['user_lastpost_time'] would work in an appropriate IF statement (e.g. placed in function page_header) Just be aware that 'user_lastpost_time' also includes PM-messages, so this ...

Re: Discuss phpBB 3.0.7 released

I know, just post a sticky that says "we don't care if you like it or not, dont' tell us" Would be interesting to see how many "I don't care that you don't care if I like it or not, I'll tell you anyway"-reactions will emerge. (btw: is this offtopic or still ontopic? Hmm, ...

Re: Did the "View Active Topics" Change?

No, there has'nt been changed anything. Just tested on your board: It seems that there haven't been more different topics in the last 7 days than 15, so where is the problem? Select e.g. '1 month' per bottom selector and you get more active topics. edit: Sorry, overread that you updated from 3.0.2. ...

Re: Upgrade

I understand your point, really. I know many "administrators" who just want to deliver a service and not wanting to administrate the server and code - that's difficult, since severe problems do occur more often than they are aware of. There are many supporters here that would do a paid ins...

I think the point is, that otherwise they are opening many topics saying "wow, I like that"

just my 1.0.7 cents ;)

Re: Upgrade

I disagree. I disagree. I disagree. I've been around boards for years. I've managed boards for years. No board has the tech demands that phpBB has. It's OK for me. I, as a "civilian", manage boards for only 3 years now with no programming-knowledge before at all, and I used this time for ...

Re: Upgrade

Yeah, it's really unfortunate. I stressed over this recent upgrade. I just didn't want it to happen. And come on. The last one was in December. That was a bloodletting for me. I've had it. I'm paying for V-Bulletin and moving over. I can't do this anymore. honestly, you should deeply rethink some t...

No, QR has been a feature since 3.0.6, 3.0.7 only adds a button in ACP to enable it for all forums at once - so this is definitely something for individual support ;)

Re: phpbb fulltext versus mySQL fulltext searches

Thanks for these interesting posts so far. Maybe this topic is worth an extra BLOG or documentation about when and what settings are recommendable (e.g. for which tables MyISAM or InnoDB is preferable and when).

Re: Discuss phpBB 3.0.7 released

What package are other people with heavily modified boards downloading? I keep seeing references to the automatic update and modifications, but I dont know if I trust the automatic update and modifications. Is there any files that are like the mod xml files? (find, replace...) You can use the patch...
