It's not only a question of time, it's also a question of bugs - now feeds are really usable and some other nasty stuff has been sorted out. 3.0.7 came in due time!

Thanks for your statement, Eric. I'm sorry to hear that, but I wish you all the best - and thanks for having cleared my question!

Re: Discuss: Blog "Moving on - the future of phpBB developme

...I have met quite a lot of people who believe phpBB3 (vanilla) has too many features that do not truly add to the board's real purpose. phpBB has the ability to turn on/off or configure ever little sh*t in the ACP. You don't need, PM? Disable it. You don't want avatars? Disallow them. You don't w...

Re: Discuss: Blog "Moving on - the future of phpBB developme

[...] Statements like "We want clean, secure, standards compliant, base-code"; has thus far resulted in new solutions that all too often fail to deliver adequate baseline "features". This isn't to say that phpBB hasn't evolved with a better core (I'm talking about revising PHP c...

Re: [Discuss] DavidIQ is now the Permanent MOD Team Leader

First, Congrats to DavidIQ - think you're the right man in the right place! Second, I can't really understand the positioning-hickhack. In the previous announcement from wGErics there has been no note at all that his position is "interim". The message was clear: I, wGEric, will go back to ...

Re: Limit Topics per User (Forum-Based)

I'm sorry, this is too long ago to remember and I don't have a step-by-step guide since my boards are extremely modded, also my spare-time is very limited at the moment.

so please keep up this Mod-request, perhaps someone else is able to bring it to RC

Re: Discuss: MODs in Development have to supply code

@Dog Cow: Yes, that is how it is actually being handled - so the advice from the moderator has been right, this is the current state of policy. The discussion is about if there are possibilities to change that, e.g. by specifying "pre-dev"-tags or something else. After I thought a little a...

Re: Discuss: MODs in Development have to supply code

Thanks for the opinions, now I understand the developer's view much better than before. Maybe there is a way to separate requests for the need of a MOD from real Development. Also the ideas from mtrs and Pony99CA are worth to think and discuss about. What's the point in labelling something 'beta' if...

Re: Discuss: MODs in Development have to supply code

OK, I agree. This is a good point, but does this justify estimative 50-70% Dev-topics with no code, many of them "developed" now over a year or more with many pages without any content except "Any news"-questions? If there is no better solution, then there is no better solution. ...

Discuss: MODs in Development have to supply code

Actually there is a rule for MODs in development supplying code when they are at [BETA]-Stage or higher, but that does result in a great bunch of [DEV]-MOD-topics that never supply any code. Many of them are abandoned after many pages of great announcements and spam-like repeated questions if there ...
