Re: phpBB Debug - "Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable"

The solution to this problem is with twig and not phpbb. The version of twig in use has coding error with the count() function, which is now being flagged by php 7.2. The solution is to update twig, or for a quick fix just edit the core.php file as stated here: https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtop...

Re: phpBB Debug - "Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable"

I'm surprised there are not hundreds of posts like this from shared hosting sites that have had php upgraded to 7.2 The problem was first notified earlier in the year https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-14972 That states it has been fixed with 3.3.0-a1, which is no help to us here. I will try an...

Re: [Release] bootlike for phpBB 3.1.10

If it's any help I got it working fine with 3.2.1 and Bootstrap 4 beta 2. It was quite manually modded to get it right but it's still one of the best bootstrap themes for phpBB.

Re: 3.2 sample config file

OK, I just ran an install to rebuild the config.php file. The changes are:

Code: Select all

$dbms = 'phpbb\\db\\driver\\mysqli';
$phpbb_adm_relative_path = 'adm/';
$acm_type = 'phpbb\\cache\\driver\\file';
@define('PHPBB_ENVIRONMENT', 'production');
Are the double backslashes correct?

Re: 3.2 sample config file

It would be great if the article was more upto date for 3.2 as there does seem to be some discrepancy here, especially with the acm setting.

I have 'file', whereas RMcGirr83 has 'phpbb\cache\driver\file'

Note too that includes/functions_install.php does not exist in 3.2 rc2

Re: 3.2 sample config file

I understand (oh god, now this is what should have been on Area51) that config files are meant to be specific for each host but surely there is a template, with sample, explanations on what each section does? Many config files have defaults, with explanations. my.conf, php.ini, main.cf ... Surely it...

3.2 sample config file

Every time I install the new release I just copy my old config.php back.Can someone check this config.php is valid and optimal for 3.2 RC2? $dbms = 'mysqli'; $dbhost = 'localhost'; $dbport = ''; $dbname = 'xxxx'; $dbuser = 'xxxx'; $dbpasswd = 'xxxx'; $table_prefix = 'xxxx_'; $acm_type = 'file'; $loa...

Re: Discuss: phpBB to ship with VigLink extension

Thanks to the team for engaging in this issue. Whilst I do not wish to waste any of their time I do hope they understand the complete implications of using stuff like VigLink. The points about raising funds is totally understandable but could I ask why us board operators and phpbb forum users were n...

Re: [BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

I can confirm it works with 3.2 and it is a great feature 8-)

But it doesn't work with the 3.2 and the bootlike theme for some reason. Not the developers problem - I appreciate - so will try and fix this myself sometime.

Re: [Release] bootlike for phpBB 3.1.6

I want to thank the creator of this theme :) I have tried to integrate phpbb within an existing bootstrap site for a few years now and could never get any template to work correctly. This theme worked perfectly out of the box. I only needed a few slight tweaks to get it looking really good with the ...

Re: [BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

Nice improvement on the standard poll. re: Out of range value for column 'poll_start' at row 1 I was getting this a couple of days ago. It only seems to happen when I try to set an until time "on the hour" e.g. 2015-10-07 16:00 That would fail whilst 2015-10-07 16:01 would not. It looks as if it is ...
