Re: Move site to new domain - where to set the board url?

The correct url was already set (with the www) but turning on the 'force server url settings' did the trick!!

Re: Move site to new domain - where to set the board url?

Well, sort of. The emails are properly forumed, and each reference to the site has a working url, but they are listed as domain.com/viewtopic.php... etc. and I want to get the www in there!

Re: Move site to new domain - where to set the board url?

Open the ACP, and under the General Tab, find Client communication and click Email Settings. Then change the conact email address and the return address. -Mike Mike, thanks for your reply. The contact email address (and return address) are actually from a different domain - I'd like to keep it that...

Move site to new domain - where to set the board url?

Hello all- I moved my site to a new domain on the same server. I copied the files over and because the mysql database is accessible from the new location on the same server, the site kept working. Now, I am looking through all the settings to make sure that the site is configured properly at the new...

I'm pretty sure CuteFTP can do that, but I never checked the settings to make sure. Thanks again!

Excellent, thanks. I need to do this for each group, I assume? (we have a few groups just to manage access to different forums)

Re: how can I set 'notify me of responses' to default to yes

We run a very small private forum - 20 or 30 users and not much activity. I am my own host. The problem is that people wont monitor the forum because the posts are infrequent, so I want there to be lots of notifications. So, I'd definitely like to give this a shot. Ideally, people would just get a n...

Re: Want to simplify interface, remove features

It turns out that it's #2 - the SAVE feature that allows you to save a draft of a post. Would anyone know an easy way to remove that feature? I found the spot where it lives in the template: in posting_editor.html There's also a reference: <!-- IF S_SAVE_ALLOWED --> which suggest that there is some ...

Re: Want to simplify interface, remove features

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

#1: I was referring to the options area at the bottom of posting.php, where you see attachments, pools, etc. Even if I turn off all of the features, the options block still displays (but with no features).

#3: Ahh ok that's turned off!
