Re: phpBB3.1 bridge between Wordpress and others

Nice. Didn't realize extensions could change settings like that.

Re: phpBB3.1 bridge between Wordpress and others

That feature can be turned off with a call to the $request class. ($request->enable_super_globals() or something similar)

Re: Fatal error: Call to a member function acl()

The strongly recommended method here would be to use an <!-- INCLUDE recent_posts.html --> and populate that with data via PHP. The template code is run in a different scope than the main code, so you won't be able to access $auth without re-bootstrapping all of the phpBB environment, or declaring e...

Re: Rapid phpBB Development - Oh the Joy!

Projects like Drupal and Wordpress are community driven, community developed, with the development team responsible for merges and validating the code. But that should be possible with phpBB now. If so, why are the contributions so slow? Limited number of contributors. 31 contributors in the last 3...

Re: Mod to show to users the post max number of allowed char

Hello,

Please make note of the forum rules, which require a status prefix (such as [BETA]) and the use of a MODX file to describe the changes.

Re: ABD MODs policy/ownership

Rude? Maybe. I've always personally viewed taking over someone else's MOD as a fork, which is allowable and fairly common.

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1 Alpha1 Preview Release

Also avoid using subsilver2 because it does not have a lot of new 3.1 functions (such as AJAX) and will not be included in final package. Say what? My understanding was that SubSilver would be in phpBB 3.1 (and probably be removed in 3.2). Originally it wasn't going to be in 3.1, but I thought that...

Re: Contributing to phpBB via Github

Guessing you're referring to this wiki article Git has the concept of remotes . Usually you will already have origin which is the repository from which you cloned your repository. You can add remotes, and the wiki article presumes you've added one called upstream which points to phpbb/phpbb3. See "g...

FYI, I saw your post (assuming we're discussing the "About Me" MOD), but didn't see a question and did not feel the need to respond. :?
