Re: None of the `delete_attachments_*` event listeners are being called

Create a PR for a new event where you ant it. I suppose that is an option. Not excited about it but if that is the only way, I could do that. Just for reference, all of this is managed by the class acp_attachments , located into ../includes/acp/acp_attachments.php --> case 'orphan': -- starting fro...

Re: None of the `delete_attachments_*` event listeners are being called

Well I figured out that those events aren't being run because the Submit button hadn't be clicked yet so the attachment is considered an orphan . The code that actually runs is in includes/message_parser.php around line 1600. Because the attachment has a 1 in the is_orphan field of the phpbb_attachm...

None of the `delete_attachments_*` event listeners are being called when attachments are orphans

I'm writing an extension but I can't seem to hook into any of the delete_attachments_* events. It is my understanding that on a posting page (ie. posting.php?mode=reply&f=14&t=148) down on the Attachments tab, there is a `Delete file` button. Capture.PNG Shouldn't that be firing these events? static...

Re: How to use phpBB 3.1.x password hashing?

I know it has been over a year but any chance you ever figured this out?

I'm also trying to authenticate users from my Laravel app against the phpBB database. Need to know how phpBB hashes passwords in 3.1.7 so I can validate users.

Re: Calling Strings in the Template Files

It is because the rating_forum function has echo statements in it. You should be letting the template engine do all the parsing and not echoing directly. https://github.com/jackmoore/colorrating/blob/master/rating/rating.php function rating_form($table){ $ip = $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"]; if(!isset($tab...

Any solution to this? My ./files directory is chmod 777 and so is /tmp on the server.

Re: [request] phpBB store fronts?

I believe what you're requesting is a multi-million dollar project. Okay maybe not that much but far more than anyone is willing to code for free and release the open source community. I totally get what you're trying to do because I run a few automotive communities and have vendors and advertisers ...

Re: Forum goes really slow randomly, help me figure this out

I've had a similar experience with one of my sites on Godaddy. The problem: the database server. The solution: Back up your database so you have a copy. I prefer to do this via phpMyAdmin. Delete the database off of your Godaddy account. Create a new database in your Godaddy account. Upload/import t...

Re: [Split] Newly registered users: Disable edit profile

This would be a spectacular feature as it would be an extremely effective method of thwarting spam. In combination with disabling the signature for Newly Registered Users, disabling the website field would give them very little reason to run their automated spam programs on phpBB boards.

Re: Inline code mod

I guess all I'm saying is that the inline code does not work like the regular code. Inline code is more of a styling tool rather than an actual 'code' box. Which in my opinion makes it worthless. [b]bold[/b] [i]italics[/i] [u]underline[/u] should all be written as plain text like this... [b]b...

Re: Inline code mod

Shturmfogell, did you get this to work? I tried it on my sites and it doesn't work if there is actual code within the [ c ] [ / c ] tags. In fact, the inline code bbcode doesn't even work very well here at phpbb.com You can't put actual bbcode with the tags and have it displayed as-typed. Try to put...

Re: "New topic" Button On Index

I knew there had to be a topic on this subject already. Glad I found it! In response to Kevin Clark, I agree with ArronC. To new visitors who are not familiar with how to create a topic this gives them a very visible jumping off point on your index page. Just a simple New Topic button on the index p...

Re: Online Icon next to usernames everywhere

I'd like to thank KeithR for sharing in my excitement. Heaven forbid someone gets excited about modding phpBB and wants to show others. I hate this nazi camp site so badly. I was going to package this feature up and release it as a mod but you can forget it. I'll keep it to myself.
