Re: pages wont load after deleting ext data

any thoughts on this error??? It looks like it references to the Media Embed extension(says plugin there) which is odd to me since that's not an extension I was messing with at the time. I simply deleted the data of an extension that was disabled, don't think I ever used it.

So, Just look there to find the real error. I found an error log in the forums' root directory... this is ...

can't clear the cache for the board itself without being in the ACP...
Yes you can, use FTP, and empty /cache, leaving index.htm and .htaccess
ok... tried that but so far, still can't load any pages.

Re: URL BBCODE not working right

well that all sounded easy enough but perhaps I did something wrong. Deleted and uploaded via filezilla... one single file failed but I simply uploaded the file again and everything seemed just fine. This takes a while on my 1.5Mbps connection. So I went into the post I had open and clicked the butt...

First, I'll apologize for starting a conversation that has been discussed in multiple places already. I'm getting dizzy trying to read through some of those conversations and a LOT of what seems like guess work. Try this, or that, or maybe this is wrong... It gets confusing. I like things in order. ...

Re: are spammers vindictive?

IP Banning is also unlikely to work, I’d just recommend proper anti-spam measures, such as extensions to protect the contact form functionality from being used like that. They're still going at it quite consistently. Been just putting temporary bans(7 days at the moment) but they keep switching to ...

are spammers vindictive?

So, I ignored something for several days. On the "who is online" page there were three IPs from the Ukraine. Two were a 48. something and the other was 178. something I believe. These were showing "replying to topic in _____" which they of course can't do as non-registered users....

Re: auto update timeout

Deleted the two files in the Store folder and also tried a different method(on my 3rd or 4th try) by selecting to install via direct file access rather than the ftp that time. Not sure which of those things helped the most but it all wo...
