Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

I can't put phpbb and wordpress in the same directory, because both use an index.php file of course

The only thing I can think of is giving up using a subdomain, have wordpress in the site's root and the forum directory within it.

Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

I'm confused... I want the blog.php file to be my site's index so how would I go about setting this up?

These are my current settings.

/index.php (aka blog.php)
/forum
/forum/wordpress

/forum is accessible through http://forum. subdomain

How do I get everything in the same subdomain?!

Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

WP-United doesn't support sub-domains. Your forum should be on the same subdomain as the blog. Some other things are probably not working correctly either. You can change [BLOG] in the WP-United language file to whatever you want. In the future, we might introduce the option to get phpBB to replace...

Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

Yay, I've got it installed nicely... There's a problem with cross-posting though. When you set it to automatically link to the forum post in the blog entry, it adds /viewtopic.php?f=example to the blog's url (in this case http://www.fmuk.org.uk is the index page, and it links to http://www.fmuk.org....

Re: Low priority: Blank column

Excellent! Thank you very much - this is what I think must have happened... The board in question was simply the original board (the one that's there when you first install phpbb3) renamed. I guess topic icons were enabled for that one but whenever you create a new board by default its set to "no". ...

Low priority: Blank column

This is a very minor issue - it's not affecting the actual functionality of my board at all - but I'd still really appreciate help as it's bugging the hell out of me! See for yourself: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/AllyourbasicGerrardo/column.jpg That second column (sandwiched between the t...

Re: How to Edit "You do not have the required ..."

Open the file language/en/viewforum.php Find: 'NO_READ_ACCESS' => 'You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum.', Replace with: 'NO_READ_ACCESS' => 'You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum, but if you register, you can.', Thank you so ...

Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

My site's theme is subsilver2 but most people use prosilver, or variations of it, so I think that's why the problem has gone undetected. The mod has an additional install for subsilver2, you see. Anyway, for some reason it won't let me Force Install. I click it, it comes up with that "Are you sure?"...

Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

Damn, it's not letting me force install on AutoMod - if I do it manually are you sure it'll work?

Re: [RC1] WP-United: WordPress Integration (NEW v0.7.1 12/06/09)

Thanks for the answer
I can't find "stylesheet.css" in the file - the only two mentions of the word stylesheet are in this:

Code: Select all

<link rel="stylesheet" href="{T_STYLESHEET_LINK}" type="text/css" />
Do I put the inline before that?

Re: Change User's Post Count

Bah! I give up - I've just realised that it kinda screws with your statistics... posts per day is number of posts divided by days since registration, but since I only registered yesterday it thinks I've posted over 4000 times in one day (I was trying to restore everyone's post counts from our last b...

Re: Change User's Post Count

Well, almost...I can change people's post count fine but it's not changing the whole forum's post count with it. So quite a lot of people's profiles say that they have posted 100.00% of all posts. Anyone else have this problem? I edited the first two files in Notepad++ but the rest in Notepad. Is th...

Re: Can't stay logged in (Cookies settings are fine)

Sorry, I should've posted to say that the problem is 99% fixed now. I found the cookie settings page and saw it was set to the temporary address I had installed the board with - started with an IP - so I changed it to the forum subdomain (my preferred url) and saw that it saved cookies fine for it. ...
