Re: Cannot get on my own site?

But Frankie - if it is just a hosting problem, you need to find that out first :) Don't worry - you'll get help here whatever the outcome of your request to your Host - we just need to know that answer first. And the help you'll get here is free. Some regular posters do offer paid or unpaid services...

Re: Cannot get on my own site?

I'm not so sure your host isn't having issues as I an unable to go to your site link, just timeouts. Yes, I had the same problem just now, when I tried to go to: http://www.makingmemoriesforyou.org/adm/index.php to see if you could access your Admin Panel that way Lunar Pages would be your host, pr...

Do you still have the problem if you change the style back to default prosilver ?

Re: Blank Page Only :(

Those profile.php calls are either spambots, or users trying to register from some outside phpBB2 link you have setup. That's what I thought they must be. Indicates a probable script-path error. You have setup your forum from http://freemailguide.com/forum/ and you are trying to access it from http...

Re: Slow Forum

As an add on I have just had a member ask me... Why does it make me want to update Quicktime every time I look at the MB and then crashes? This is seriously not good. So basically do you think the template Im using may be flawed? Well, yes, that too - because you said prosilver ran fine. I got that...

Re: Blank Page Only :(

See that error message says: referer: http://forum.freemailguide.com/profile. ... greed=true is calling for /home/freemail/public_html/forum/profile.php They look like they could be different directories - maybe your old 2.x install is still there and a BOT tried to access it, creating this error ? ...

Re: Blank Page Only :(

No - I didn't see that - there is no profile.php in a default install so I don't know where that is coming from. If you'd filled in the Support Request Template earlier, then I wouldn't have to ask again ;) Do you have any MODS installed ? edit: I think somehow your old 2.x installation is involved ...

Re: Blank Page Only :(

Well the links in those errors don't give me white pages - they give me HTTP404 Error messages, which usually indicate that files are missing or in the wrong place on the server. http://www.freemailguide.com/forum/index.php does give me a blank page - if it's supposed to work too. Have you asked you...

Re: Customizing a Custom Page

If you want a different look for the Rules Forum, you could install a different style for it. You can assign styles to individual Forums in their settings. If you're set on having a separate page, an easier way to look at it might be to store the page text separately either in a text file or a new d...

Re: Customizing a Custom Page

It sounds a little bit as though you're trying to turn your new page into a forum.

Couldn't you have a Rules Forum, and set permissions on that as you desired?

Sorry if I misinterpreted you.

Re: Custom BBCodes

A frequent problem with these Javascript codes is that they only work once in a post or topic. All subsequent instances fail. Anyone know why that is or how to fix it? That one fails because getElementById only finds the first instance of the font id on the page. You can use getElementsByTagName to...

Re: Custom BBCodes

Re: Blank Page Only :(

When you get a blank screen like that, there is often a helpful message or two in your Web Server Error Log. You may be able to look at the log through your Hosting Control Panel - if not you will need to ask your host to look for you. You should post the error message here with a completed Support ...

Re: sorry to bother you guys..

Information on how to convert from phpBB2 to phpBB3 is here . Basically, you must have both phpBB2 and phpBB3 installed on the same server. After you have finished installing phpBB3 you will have the option to convert your phpBB2 board using the built in converter. The information it asks you for is...
