.htaccess 301 redirect to other thread

Hello, I'm trying to redirect a soon-to-be deleted thread to another one using .htaccess: Redirect 301 /viewtopic.php?t=33996 /viewtopic.php?t=38455 However, that doesn't seem to work (I've put it at the end of the .htaccess file in the phpBB directory). Any idea what may have gone wrong? I've also ...

Warnings table lost during phpBB 3.2 upgrade

Hello, looks like the update to 3.2 has deleted the warnings for every user of my forum, but not the warnings counters. The problem is that because of that, the system can't remove the previous warnings anymore ... the warning counter stays the same. Can anyone tell me where the warnings including t...

Re: Open external links in new tab/window

I just realized that phpBB 3.2 doesn't open external links in a new tab anymore! This is quite annoying, and users on my board complained about it also. I tried the ELONW extension without luck. It doesn't work for me. Also, I don't really like the overhead - Javascript is required for that to work,...

Re: [RC] Digests 3.2.0-RC7

p.s. the whole database doesn't contain "acp_digests" (except for the log table which contains that the module was removed), which makes it even more strange ...

optimize phpbb code

Hello, did anyone already find a nice way to optimize the generated phpBB code (remove unnecessary line breaks, comments, blank spaces etc.)? 2 challenges I see with that is to preserve the preprocessor statements for EVENT, IF, INCLUDE etc., and also that of course the html files in the forum direc...

Code: Select all

DELETE FROM `phpbb_modules` WHERE `module_langname` LIKE '%DIGEST%';
Next purge the cache.
Then try enabling the extension again.
in my phpbb_modules table, there is nothing that contains the string 'digest'! :shock:

Re: [Release] Aero for phpBB 3.2.0

Hi, I noticed that an "ONLINE" image is displayed by the style per default which is basically nice. However, I'm not sure if anyone noticed - it is displayed at the right side of a post (as defined in "aero/theme/en/stylesheet.css), partially being covered by the post buttons, so the text is not rea...

Online status on left side

Hello, I've noticed that phpBB now comes with the online status mod integrated into the core code, which is great! There's only one problem: in my forum, the profile information is on the left side, so the online status symbol looks kinda odd over there at the right side (almost as if it was indicat...

Re: 3.1.9 -> 3.2.0 database update timeout issues

Thanks a lot! I can just remotely guess how much programming and testing was involved in getting all this going, indeed... The new version feels even more powerful - thanks to all who have been involved in the new release! Us 'users' only rarely openly praise you for the work you guys are doing. :oo...

Re: 3.1.9 -> 3.2.0 database update timeout issues

Luckily, I was able to complete the database update with the phpcli method.

I have to say that if future phpBB version updates are that hellish as they were this time, I'll update not more than twice a year..... :roll: :shock:

3.1.9 -> 3.2.0 database update timeout issues

Hello, I've recently posted about having trouble to update one of my forums to 3.2 (from 3.1.9), but was finally able to solve it by following these instructions: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2376856#convert3 However, my largest board just can't get updated that way... :-( T...

Re: [RC] Digests 3.2.0-RC7

Hi, I've uninstalled my previous version of Digests, deleted the old files, uploaded the new ones, wanted to enable the Extension, but received a strange error message in a red box: Something went wrong during the request and an exception was thrown. The changes made before the error occurred were r...

Re: problems adapting phpBB style

thanks for your feedback so far! @pit-PL: no, my question is not about how to use a font, but simply to have the symbols displayed. If you look at my site (I've temporarily put a link to my signature), there are greyed-out boxes instead of the symbol icons. So it looks as there is a problem with the...
