Re: [BETA] Digests 3.0.1

Sounds great! I'm starting to love this extension, although (or because? relationship pattern? ;-)) it gives me quite a lot of headaches. I tried to install it on my largest forum and just enabled digests for 3 test users. Sending test digests works fine, but 'regular' daily digests don't. I get the...

Re: [BETA] Digests 3.0.1

I believe I did all that, tried all sorts of combinations of options w/o success. Most importantly, the functionality of the actual digest extension seems to be fine, I just wanted to give feedback on the testing feature. Also, searching for a user in the 'Edit Subscribers' feature didn't work for m...

Re: [BETA] Digests 3.0.1

Awesome extension, exactly what I was looking for! However, when trying to send a test digest, it doesn't do anything. I created a new post in a public forum for just that purpose, and set "run the mailer", "do not send results to file", "simulate month and hour...: no" - it says 'Mailer was run suc...

Re: allow only https:// avatars

Thanks for the link, interesting! The reason why uploading pictures to my site is not an option is the legal situation in Europe, where you can easily get sued by mafia-like groups of corporate lawyer sharks over copyright issues when storing and thus 'distributing' licensed images on your server .....

Re: allow only https:// avatars

I'm fully aware of that ;) , but I want that little green locker icon for all pages of my site! Because to the uninformed user, a board that loads remote images over an insecure connection looks ...well, insecure. 8-) I'm currently upgrading all my sites to deliver all content via SSL, only t...

Re: allow only https:// avatars

About mixed content. Do you not allow images to be linked using this code? [img]someimage.com/image.gif[/img] If so that will create mixed content. that's exactly what my question is about. I'd like to modify the image URL checking code in order to allow only https:// links here to avoid mixed cont...

'Avatar invitation' mod?

Hello, a mod inviting users to set an avatar would be great. I imagine a small message on top of the board in the header area, asking users something like: 'You don't have a profile image yet. A profile image helps others to recognize your posts. Do you want to set one now?' along with the link to t...

allow only https:// avatars

Hello,

can anyone advise me where and how to add a few lines of code in order to only allow linking to remote avatars that are stored on secure websites ('https://' in the link)?

thanks,
r.

Re: New users don't get email notifications for private messages by default

As mentioned in another thread, I had exactly the same problem after converting from phpBB2 -> phpBB3, and for me, after months of trial and error, I found that setting the "Email package size" in ACP's "Email Settings" did the trick.

hope this helps,
r.
