yes, I got it installed on a test stand alone phpbb 2.0.6 machine, all seems to work fine except the new "Reject Oversize Messages" option doesn't work. Everytimei I set it to NO and click submit, it comes back with YES again. Installed on Postnuke/PNphpBB2 1.2a and worked fine too, except the same ...

Just got time to try beta5 on a test machine with standalone phpbb 2.0.6. All works well. (I was upgrading from beta2).

Thanks for the great job!

max size

JFYI,

see my post http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... highlight=

the article from usenet you import will be truncated to 65k (at least for mysql). it doesn't matter how you set the "max size" in newssync.

if phpbb doesn't impose such a limit, could it be the limit from the mysql database schema?

missing image

there are some hardcoded images that are missing in Postnuke/PNphpBB2.

the default theme for PNphpBB2 is PNTheme, not subSilver.

if you grep subSilver in the "copyto-templates-admin" directory, you will find those hardcoded places.

the three mods you mentioned are the only ones that I am aware of. Since I couldn't see the trace of any of those three in the 2.0.6 code, I was wondering if there another solution being used. That was the reason of my first post...

ok, just installed phpbb 2.0.6 on a test machine, and used lynx (simulate search bot) to browse the site. access_log shows ..sid=xxxxxxxxxx Unless I missed something, SID is clearly still being used. A grep of the patch doesn't show "Google" (as user-agent), so it is not like my lynx user agent caus...

a quick browse of the patch file between 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 doesn't look familiar. It doesn't look like those hacks that were discussed here on the board. Maybe a different method is being used to make it search engine friendly? Can somebody elaborate a bit? Thanks!

In a setting for a newsgroup, there is "Max Message Size", the description says "in kb" and the default value is 1024000. Are you sure we want 1G max size for a message ?

In the past, if newsync was stopped in a weird way without removing the lock file, I could just delete the lock file and start again. Now that the status is in db, so I have to run a sql statement to do that?
