Re: [RC] Quick quote for phpBB3 native quick reply 1.0.2

I've installed the mod, but there is a small problem: one more Quck reply form appears below the first one with the text inserted, after I insert highlighted text.

Re: DB tables too large - host says

I've moved the main site and it is running fine. Will certainly tell the old host about their policies - I have kept some of their emails for quotes.

Re: DB tables too large - host says

The load on that server is not high at all (Depending on the hardware configuration, but assuming at least a quardcore, the load average that is at the top can be 4 without being a problem.). That there are open tables is fully normal as well, and that they use memory it they do is nothing special....

Re: DB tables too large - host says

Allocate more memory to MySQL. Or prune your posts. Or partition your data. Any practical advice? This is what the host engineers wrote (see the quote). What is worrying me are the last lines to the effect that even an upgrade won't help. Does it not imply that the phpBB database scheme is at fault...

Re: DB tables too large - host says

In fact, I have to hurry... Today I received yet another warning from the host. And my current plan is VPS, mind you. It looks like an ordinary sharing account, and perhaps it is. This e-mail is a follow up to your PHPBB Bulletin Board MySQL fusionclub_auto database. It is still consuming too many s...

Re: DB tables too large - host says

I run table repair and optimize ops once a week. By the latest count, my DB is 522 MiB. There is no point in pruning the posts further as this will decrease the value of the board. So it appears I have no choice but find a new host. Will play with a dedicated server this time.

Re: DB tables too large - host says

Are there database table size restrictions when you host on a dedicated server? I haven't seen any restrictions even for other plans, but apparently these restrictions exist and are applied.

Will a dedicated server, dual core, 4 GB RAM (not 4 MB!), be enough for my forum?

If I knew where to move, I'd move right now, Paul. Is the phpBB.com host accepting new orders? :)

Re: DB tables too large - host says

The largest table - after posts and private messages - is '...phpbb_topics_track' - how to cut that? Couldn't figure out what's inside... And yes, I'm looking for a new host. I know I probably overpay but I was assured I won't have problems with VDS (virtual dedicated server) because of its structur...
