Re: another 500 internal server error thread!

Well it looks like I've eliminated the host(s). I restored a full back-up on a new host , and accessed the site via the temp I.P (haven't changed the name servers). I'm getting the same thing on the new host, the cPanel error log is reporting this; [Sun Aug 23 17:36:39 2009] [error] [client 121.44.2...

Re: another 500 internal server error thread!

They tell me that there is no errors in the logs, and that it has to be a code error. I told them I have not edited or changed any files weeks prior to this error commencing almost 4 days ago... I don't know where to go from here... 600 members and nobody can access index.php, but every other ...

Re: another 500 internal server error thread!

They tell me they can't find anything wrong at their end and I should reinstall the software :/ All pages are loading fine, except for index.php (the main index). I haven't made any edits or changes to any files in weeks and this problem arises. I tried replacing index.php, to no avail... any other ...

another 500 internal server error thread!

I'm getting a 500 internal Server Error when trying to view /index.php All other links/portal/pages are loading fine. Nothing has been edited/changed/added or deleted. Any help as to what could be the cause? I have my host checking into it now, but they have come up with nothing thus far. I thought ...

Custom "[tags]" in thread topic.

Looking for a mod for my board. I've seen similar things on VB forums. What I need it to do is the following; Insert custom "[tags]/prefix" at beginning of thread topic in a specified forum (eg.f=25/f=58). The poster has to select a prefix from a drop down menu before being able to submit their thre...

Re: SEO & bots.

So it seems that the bots are finally crawling through the forum topics :D. I don't know if it was because of the changed permissions earlier in the day, and it just took a while to get it sorted, or whether adding a sitemap to GWMT pointing to index.php helped find them. I'll keep an eye on other b...

Re: SEO & bots.

Looks like even though the bots can now view the index page and all the forums, they still aren't. They just seem to always visit the homepage (which is the portal). Should I try using a sitemap.txt file in Google WebMasterTools and include /index.php in it to show the bots on their way to the forum...

Re: SEO & bots.

Just a quick follow up. I got it all sorted now. Non of the Bots were assigned to the Bot group, so having my forum permissions set to bot-access was useless (I may have removed the bots from the group when I first set-up phpbb ) When I went to "Manage Groups" in the ACP, the total members for...

Re: SEO & bots.

No... I wouldn't know what to look for! If I look in "Overview" or "Diagnostics" -> "URLs restricted by robots.txt" there's over 2,000 errors. But when I view the details, all the pages are search.php pages like; http://www.aquariumsdownunder.com/search.php?author_id=223&sr=posts http://www.aq...
