Re: SEO & bots.

So getting back on topic to my problem, why the weird indexing from Google etc. on my forums? As was mentioned earlier - over 200 pages indexed, but no viewtopic, just all portal pages (google search "site:www.aquariumsdownunder.com"). The thing that has me wondering is I never see a bot "Reading To...

Re: SEO & bots.

Here...

Image

Forums -> Groups’ forum permissions -> "Bots" -> check "All Forums" -> role = "Bot Access".

But,

that still doesn't help solve my problem... :?:

Re: SEO & bots.

Hmmm, the bots user group had permissions set to "no role assigned"?, the forum permissions had the bot group set to "Bot Access"... I didn't think I ever changed that... Should the Bot user group be set to "Standard Features" "Limited Features" or "All Features"?  Thanks for the help :...

SEO & bots.

So my site has been up for almost 12 months now, and all the results in Google/Yahoo consist of portal/FAQ/Information pages etc. There aren't any topics/threads at all in any of the search engines. I have the robots.txt file in my root dir, a few meta keywords (I know they aren't really relevant to...

Poll under post?

I had a quick play with the viewtopic_body.html, but didn't get it working. I want it so when there is a topic with a poll, the poll is under the topic, rather than above the topic post... I assume this is the code I need to move... <!-- IF S_HAS_POLL --> <tr> <td class="row2" colspan="2" align="cen...

Re: Search Own Topic Problems

Thanks mate... Believe it or not, that's where I thought to look, though I searched for {U_SEARCH rather than 'U_SEARCH  Seems the following line was missing; 'U_SEARCH_OWN' => append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}search.$phpEx", 'search_id=own'), threw it in and it's all good... Thanks for the help....

Re: [Beta] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8

I have installed this mod, but have a couple of problems. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Subsilver2. 1) When I click the "Chat" link in the up next to "FAQ" "MEMBERS" etc, it just reloads the index.php again. But if I manually type http://www.mysite/chat.php it takes ...

Re: ACP Announcement Centre

Is it possible to have this MOD display on a selected forum? IE: viewforum.php?f=48 I have seen this MOD around a fair bit, and it looks great, though I only want an announcement displayed on a particular forum, not all forums/index. Would this be something to consider in a future release?, is there...

Topic / subject length in subsilver2?

How to change the topic/subject from the default 60 characters to 100 in SS2?. I've had a search through the forum, and found lots of ways for ProSilver, but nothing for SS2. I edited functions_content.php and purged cache, but no go... What else needs to be done? DB default is 100 correct?... Cheer...
