Re: Adding PHP to templates

I just realized I created this in the wrong section of the forum. I will re-create it in the styles section. Please delete this thread.

Adding PHP to templates

...well I'm pretty sure it can't be done. But here is my dilemma: My phpbb (3.3) installation is contained inside a CMS, and is located at /forum. I have a template with some tabs across the top for various sections of my site. One of the tabs is 'blog'. Now, the way my site works is that if you are...

Re: User Blog Mod

You can use the Javascript feed to output it easily (though it may look out of place).
Can you elaborate on that? What javascript feed is this you speak of?

Re: SEO MOD

Has anyone ever figured out a way to not have the SID in the URL? Besides being a security risk, it's also not very good for SEO :(

I thought I had maybe installed the MOD wrongly, but I just installed it on another forum, and the SID shows up in the URL on that forum as well.

Re: User Blog Mod

A nice addition to this mode would be to have 'newest blog topics' or something like that added to the index page, so that users can see a direct link to that half the board. Right now, the functional integration is all there, but the visual integration is a little lacking, so it's easy for users to...

Re: ACP Announcement Centre

This is definitely one of the most useful mods I have installed so far. I installed it last week thinking I may use it once or twice every so often, but I have found ways to use it every day since then! great mod.

Changing <title> contents

I want to set custom titles for my index at the very least, and other things as well if possible. Does anybody know how to do this?

Allowed Memory size exceeded

One of my users is getting the following error when attempting to make a post (using the blog mod): Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in /home/jaypncom/public_html/after-hours-japan.com/forum/includes/utf/data/utf_compatibility_decomp.php ...

Re: User Blog Mod

I'll say it again - the support I received was worth the money. I still feel it goes against the spirit of open source, but it was worth the money, and it was only a small amount anyways. No big deal to me, though it could be to someone who is from a country where the money holds less value.

Re: User Blog Mod

As I said, I got it going eventually, except for one problem. As much as I disagree with the idea of paying for support for an open-source application, I went to the forum and paid for it. The developer gave me assistance, and managed to diagnose the problem within about 15 minutes, so if you are go...

Re: User Blog Mod

Well, after a lot of headaches (about 4 hours worth), I managed to get it working. But, for some reason the links don't show up on my board style. The code in overall_header looks like this: <a href="{blog_links.URL}">{blog_links.TEXT}</a> But the html just looks like this: <a href=""></a> So for so...

Re: User Blog Mod

Wow, I'm regretting installing this. Caused problems on my board, and THEN I discovered that this mod wasn't to be supported.

My recommendation - don't install this mod.

Re: Manual update form phpbb 3.0.2 to 3.0.3

My phpbb 3.0.2 board is heavily modded, and I am trying to update it using the automatic installer package. I have gotten to the 'check files' stage, but I have about 10 files with conflicts. I really don't know what to do with them - there are no instructions. I don't know which of the three option...
