Re: Moving the phpBB3 forum to a new host/database?

I already have a database on the new host. The host only allows one database, and it's already created. The database is called "ktm_forum_no". I can't create any other database. From the host I've got username/password to PHPmyadmin and mySQL, and they use the same username/password on both. So that...

Re: Moving the phpBB3 forum to a new host/database?

Any feedback on the last post? Sorry for posting again. Just need to get all this in order, as the forum needs to be up and running.

Re: Moving the phpBB3 forum to a new host/database?

There is absolutely nothing on the new host, except for the dump directory which contains the bigdump.php and the SQL backup file. That config.php is from the backup of the old host. There is no other config file? The last 25 lines of the backup file is full of 'INSERT INTO'.. would be too much text...

Re: Moving the phpBB3 forum to a new host/database?

I did the backup this way: phpmyadmin -> export -> chose the database/right SQL, marked "Complete inserts" -> gzipped The config.php file: ---------------------------------------- <?php // phpBB 3.0.x auto-generated configuration file // Do not change anything in this file! $dbms = 'mysqli'; $dbhost...

Re: Problems with moving the database to another host.

I pretty much misread. It was on the upload feature it could be max 12MB. When I searched the forum I found out that you were supposed to upload it in the dump folder. I've got another problem now though. Error at the line 12: CREATE DATABASE `ktm_forum_org` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE lati...

Re: Moving the phpBB3 forum to a new host/database?

Just using this thread again.. I'm using the guide posted in the link above.. and I've come to restoring the database.. and I'm using bigdump.. but that's only for max 12MBytes databases.. and my database is 16MBytes.. So I can't do any of those ones listed in the guide. The host doesn't support SSH...

Re: Redirecting all forum links to a another domain?

My host doesn't have cpanel platform.

Steve -> Say that someone has bookmarked a link to a topic, I don't want them to get a "server not found" message, insted I want them to be redirected to the new domain.

Redirecting all forum links to a another domain?

Hi. At the moment I've got my forum on .org , and I'm going to move it over to .no I basically want the .org to redirect to the .no , which is no problem really, but aswell as this, I want all the 'sub' links to be redirected aswell. Say that someone goes directly into www.example.org/viewtopic.php?...

Watermark on attachments?

Hi.

Does anyone know of a mod with adding a watermark on attachments? Was one on the forum for not to long ago, but he closed it right of and there is no download link anywhere.

Thanks

Re: Contact Board Admin

Got some questions... Just testing around at this stage. I've basically got 2 sponsors at my forum, selling motorcycle parts. And they often get questions and orders etc, on PM, but they would prefer it on e-mail. This mod seems like a good starting point to advancing that. Only thing then is that I...

Re: Contact Board Admin

I've installed this mod now, done the DIY, and when pressing "Contact board administration"(under General -> Board configuration), I get this message: [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 360: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to b...
