Re: Spiders & bots to add to phpBB

I keep finding this IP in my logs: 121.9.222.196 I'm pretty sure it belongs to a Chinese bot of some sort, but I can't seem to find what agent it may be. Has anyone else encountered this fellow? Here's the info that I could find on a whois search: inetnum: 121.9.222.0 - 121.9.222.255 netname: DiLian...

Re: Spiders & bots to add to phpBB

Sorry. I meant the page on the viewonline.php of my personal phpbb forums.
The crawler showed up as a guest :)

Re: Spiders & bots to add to phpBB

I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed to this topic. As a long time poster frequent lurker I've been searching and browsing this topic for a long time. Thanks! I keep getting all kinds of weird bots and crawlers on my site lately, and a few minutes ago I saw the following entry in my "Who i...

Re: Backdoor security issue?

I might be stating the obvious here, but I'd like to point out that there aren't any known security threats to the latest version of phpBB. If you're using an old, out-dated version, that's a different story. I just googled "notorious phpBB exploit" for the fun of it, and phpBB 2 was among the very ...

Re: Is This Normal?

Like I said, it comes from the Ultimate Points mod I have installed: http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/ultimate_points/ It's a very popular mod from your mod database, so I'm not surprised if the other posters in this thread also have it on their boards. Registration has been working fine, somet...

Re: Is This Normal?

Unfortunately the actual error message is being suppressed there. If in dbal.php you add die($msg_long_text); in line 693 right before trigger_error(false, E_USER_ERROR); you will be able to read the actual error message caused by the updater. Following this approach gives me know the following mor...

Re: updating from .7 to .8

I'm experiencing the exact same problem.
I have some custom modifications on my forum as well, but as t_backoff pointed out, none of the modifications have ever been applied to that file.

Replacing the existing dbal.php with one from a fresh 3.0.8 install did not solve the problem for me.

Re: FAQ: phpBB 3.0.7-PL1 ATOM feed

Is there a way to create a feed featuring the newest topics in a specific forum only? I have read carefully through the first post as well as the rest of this topic, and as far as I understand none of the examples shown here do that. feed.php?mode=topics shows the topics from all the forums, while I...

Re: Spot Review Mod

I know this isn't exactly what you are looking for, but maybe the already created mod phpbb gallery by nickvergessen could work out for you: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=1402415&hilit=gallery+nickvergessen It's technically a photoalbum modification for phpbb 3, but in addition...

Re: Wacintaki Oekaki user integration with phpBB3

My apologies, I had no idea this was considered part of your spam policy. I'll restrain myself then to merely add my support for the initial poster's inquiry for a mod request featuring an oekaki or wackintaki integration. I used the mod he mentioned for phpBB2 for several years, and I would love to...
