Re: Essential Fixes to the SEO_MOD

Is the a 'duh' moment for me. If everyone knows that these fixes MUST be done for this mod to work, then why aren't they blended into the original release and updated to the original download link package? Mainly because the package author does not respond to emails although he still posts on the f...

Re: SEO MOD

so many pages of bugs and fixes, i'm still unsure if this is compatible with 3.0.1? Is anyone running this mod without a hitch or errors that others are reporting with the latest phpbb3 version? Re: [Beta]Donation MOD with PayPal IPN Ver 1.0.4

The CSS needs to be altered to add the heart icon and the clickable link on donate needs to be entered into overall_head.html - what is the best code to use for this and why is it not in the instructions? So far, I have: Find the following in styles\prosilver\template\overall_header.html <li class=...

Re: [RC2]RSS Feed

I have installed the latest and it now validates better. However, the feed gives 50 posts still - even though I have used: $topic_count = 30; This variable is no longer used in the forumrss.php !! I now use if($postallowcount > $config['posts_per_page'])break; so it sets post by config if you want ...

Re: [Beta]Advanced RSS Feed

Thanks to Joe's help I have resolved the issue of getting the RSS image to appear in the overall_header.html. Editing the 3 cascading style sheets did not actually help update the style sheet for prosilver (for some unknown reason) - edited the style sheet through the ACP and lo and behold, the imag...

Thanks for this MOD Handyman. Thanks to everyone with all the fixes and help. I worked my way through the last 39 pages and now have this SEO MOD installed & working with all bugs fixed except for one small issue: When a user sends a topic to a friend using the "E-mail friend" link, that person rec...

Re: [Beta]Advanced RSS Feed

No offence taken - I realise that I had posted in both forums, although this related more to the info given on this forum.

I realised there were references to changes to the search.php but I ignored those for the simple rss feed.

joeroberts wrote:witch version are you using :?:
I am actually using the latest version of your standard rss feed on phpBB v3.0.1 - does it actually make any difference - the way of getting the RSS icon should be the same between both versions anyway.

Re: [Beta]Advanced RSS Feed

OK I have done all that and the text appears "RSS" but not the image... Any ideas? Did you read Muad''Dib's post on how to make the image permanent through imageset resets. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=918825&p=5694085#p5694085 Hmm - not quite sure what the problem is - I hav...

Re: [RC2]RSS Feed

Just a couple of errors which need correcting please to ensure that the RSS feed validates (taken from the Advanced RSS feed discussion): Following changes in forumrss.php I added just before : $rss .='; (at about line 143) this line: header('Content-type: application/xml; charset=utf-8'); I added j...

Re: SEO MOD

I was just wondering, if I was to install SEO URL's to the forum, would a NON SEO URL still point to "topic x" as well as the SEO URL pointing to "topic x"? Yes, both methods of referring to a topic work - the seo version will look something like: www.yourforum.com/forums/topic-title-t30.html compa...
