Viewing forum on local PC

I do not host my forum but wanted to make some changes to the the CSS.

Am I able to view the forum on my local PC prior to upload or can the changes only be done on the server where the forum is hosted

thanks in advance

Thanks, and here I was thinking I knew it all

I guess messing with this would be pretty much trial and error. Is there an FAQ somewhere or that shows what each field in the CSS does?

I had a quick search without luck

Fonts: Php Vs vBulletin

Is there a way to increase the size of the various fonts on php? I note vBulletin generally has larger font for user names, thread titles and and the body of the posts but php is a lot better with most other features. I note also the beta of php 3 has larger fonts. So are these able to be increased ...

I had to change my frame height to 80 instead of 70 to get all the text to appear correctly in IE. (It worked fine in Firefox without any changes) Thanks for the MOD I'm keen on installing this but a couple of questions. 1. Where do you change the frame height to accomodate the mod? 2. Do you have ...

Private message security

Based on the default settings of phpbb are admins or mods able to view other users private messages?

I thought this was not the case but have since heard otherwise.

How can this be done and is there a way to prevent it?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Re: 2.0.14 to 2.0.15 - Changed files only

You want to put WHATS IN THE file in the admin file and so on..... Ok, so if I drag the entire new admin folder, it will override the entire admin folder on the server leaving me with 4 files instead of 19 odd? RIGHT........ Just copy what in the folder to the admin folder and so on..... sorry, but...
