I was wondering the same thing. I can log in using Netscape but not IE ... and IE is what we recommend our users use.

Thanks

Thanks so much for your help, I wasn't sure if there was a way in this version.

Yes & No See I would have to look at everyone's profile to see that. I was thinking an extra column on the memberlist or something like that. Right now we only have 30 active members (down from 80) but once we get settled with this new board we could grow to god knows how many and I'd have to vi...

Keeping track of last posts??

I have no idea what to search for to see if this topic has been discussed, do if it has maybe you can point me to that post ... if it hasn't ... then let's start :) I run a writing community where members all post to stories and we write the stories as a group. One of the rules we have in place is t...

And I think it's a common misconception around here that the COPPA rule has something do to with posting or reading posts on a phpBB forum. I think it was Carlos who already noted that the rule is about collecting personal information from children. So COPPA applies to a phpBB forum (or any other f...

It's an US law: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/1999/9910/childfinal.htm http://www.ftc.gov/os/1999/9910/64fr59888.pdf ( :!: large size) If your server is not located in the US but somewhere else, other laws may apply. I knew it was a law ... that wasn't really my question ... guess I worded it poorly ... W...

Just curious ... why is there a law that you must be over 13? I have a writing club that I plan on using this message board for, we have very strict rules so that any one of any age can write with us (ie. no profanity, sexual content, etc) as long as they want to. So now I'm wondering why there is a...

Okay, talk to me as if I were 4 :) I have read so many of these theme and template posts that my eyes are glazing over. Here's what I understand. - With phpBB2 I cannot edit the themes or templates from the admin panel. I need to do it through the .tpl & .css files? - If I'm right this far, then...

What happens when I install over hacked versions?

I don't know if this belongs on this message board, but this seemed like the most likely place. I wanted to know what will happen if and when I install phpbb2 over my hacked version 1.4? Will I lose all of the additions? As I look around here, it doesn't seem to matter much, since most of the hacks ...
