Well thanks Pentapenguin for the info ... One thing I still don't understand: Where the Exclamation Mark and brackets [ ! ( ) ]actually disabled for security-reasons or where they just taken out of the allowed chars, to match what the according RFC says, while other characters were actually removed ...

Although you might be right ... the point is, that I'm trying to figure out, what will still be allowed within the according BBCode-Tags for phpBB. I used the chars stated above, and it worked at least until phpBB 2.0.13. On the other hand, I might just try and totally avoid anything than the unders...

We're Mod free AFAIK. Should I go for the Changed Files Only or the Patch File? The CHangedFilesOnly-Package will suit you best, because the patch-file can only be applied on a Unix/Linux-host! Good luck, and subscribe to the phpBB mailing list at the support-section to get notified of future secur...

OMG .. we are currently at phpBB 2.0.17 8O You _should_ update as soon as possible. Depending on whether or not you have MODs installed, you can just update with the update-package you can get in the downloads-section or if you have many MODs installed, you'll have to do a step by step update from e...

Has anything happened here?

If so .. looks like Chris has become an expert in the database-structure for my MOD

So long,

Ooops ... I am still watching this topic, but didn't receive any Notification-mails in a long while. (Not even back in July ??) Just as Chris pointed out ... this summer again was busier than the last one. I am just about to relax a bit, because the big jobs are over now. I'll have to take so...

What changed as regards to allowed chars in [URL]+[IMG]-Tags

Hi there, I have done some searching, but couldn't find the full answer. Let me first start by telling you that I have been away from phpBB.com for a couple of months, so I'm not totally up-to-date  I have lately realized, that some of the topics I have running concerning my MODS do no longer ...

O.K. I'll just stand in line with all the others here, that are really greatful for all the work you have invested into phpBB! I can understand, why you took this decision, and hope it helps you to stop getting sick about all the mentioned idiots that have finally lead to the step you made. Maybe so...

As a fix, a regex filtering out anything that didn't comply to the URL spec was applied. Hi, and sorry for bringing this rather old thing up ... but waht exactly isn't allowed in an URL anymore. I have plenty of links to downloads and/or screenshots for my diverse MODs under development. These cont...

Re: RAF-template(ALPHA-testers).xls

Hi Brighid, just took a look at your template ... Whoo 8O That's a lot of fields and very long lists, that you are asking for. As had been said before, I'm off for a 2 week holiday as of today, so you will have to wait another couple of weeks until I can send you your data. ... did 101, 102, 103 etc...

Sounds like a great idea! 8) Have you thought about some issues arising from your MOD? The jumpbox should then also only show those categories/forums, the user decided to see OR the user could be able to decide to leave the jumbox "as is" to be able to browse some fora he doesn't want to visit every...

Ah, good point. I'll have to think about how that would be configured. ... / ... If I am understanding your comments, you would display a "denied" message if the user is not logged in, rather than sending them to the login screen. Or at least you would allow an administrator to set that up as an op...

Hi everyone(still) interested!
Although I am willing to finish this MOD as soon as my time will allow so ... I can't promise when that will be :?

Meanwhile something similar has been started by drahtbun, so maybe you can check his MOD, to see if that will also fit your needs?!

Cheers,
Manfred.

Hi drahtbun, your MOD sounds like a very good idea! I had started something similar , but haven't had the time to finish it so far. Maybe you can take up some of the ideas I had (that are not yet in your feature-list) and add them to your MOD, thus making mine obsolete  I wouldn't really mind, ...
