I don't understand what you want and why you talk about ranks... i am sorry to confuse you... i just refer rank as default group... i mean when regular user change his rank of regular (none) to another rank of donator (green) as default in usergroups at UCP... so in posting.php will detect and auto...

for example... if i selected gobal mod in group in UCP... then my rank is gobal mod so in post.php... it selects gobal mod rank automatically...

of course it could be editing...
