Re: Moving phpBB

You have to import your old database to your server/webhost via phpMyAdmin or the like. It's not possible to import or restore 3.0 databases via the 3.1 installer.

Re: [RC] DVGFX for phpBB 3.1.3

There is a bug where, when viewing User Profiles the offline image is repeated across the containing div. This does not affect the online image just the offline image.

I tested in IE, Firefox, Chrome present in all.

Does this work? I have the SVG for this also so that it can scale down or up to any size without loosing sharpness.

Created in Inkscape.

Re: [SOLVED] Call a CSS instead of inherit

I just browsed to the EXT folder and found the CSS in the extension styles folder, removed the code for the background colour and all fixed :) You shouldn't change the code within the extensions folder, it can break if the extension gets updated. Just create an extensions.css in your style and make...

Re: password formats

several drivers like md5, sha1 and bcrypt? They are used for password hashing depending upon what your server/host has support for. PHP 5.5 uses bcrypt by default and since phpBB3 supports PHP 5.3.3 and above, some servers/hosts may be using older hashing algorithms. bcrypt is the most secure though.

Re: Remove login/logout/register

Just disable User Registration in General -> Board Configuration -> User Registration Settings. Then edit Your Style to remove the login button in the nav bar and the quick login under the index. As for the change user password, you could do the same and just edit the style and remove it from the uc...

Re: CSS image-path in extensions, best way?

According to his git repo he has it as

Code: Select all

<!-- INCLUDECSS ../theme/posting-editor-img-buttons.css -->
[/url]

So changing it to what Stoker said should fix it.

It would be phpBB not having permissions to read/write a file, not poor code.

Re: Just installed - no .htaccess file and a blank screen

I would re-download the zip file and check the SHA-256 hash to make sure it downloaded correctly. The phpBB3 folder in the zip contains a .htaccess file. Also check to make sure that hidden files are shown too.

You would need to edit prosilver_se's stylesheet.css or the prosilver colours.css, since this theme inherits from prosilver
