Re: How do i place my forum "inside" my website

You can have your site link to the forum and have two different styles. Then you don't need to worry about the headers and such at all. Otherwise, you can add your header and footer to:

styles\prosilver\template\overall_header.html
styles\prosilver\template\overall_footer.html

Re: How do i place my forum "inside" my website

The easiest way is to pick a template you like for the forum, then use the same template (i.e. all the CSS files) to build the rest of your site. Working the other way around can be a tad more difficult :P

Re: [Help] Learning Phpbb and Modding

Those are good too, but when I first started with PHP, I found them too technical sounding to get much from them. Once you get used to it though, php.net is also an excellent reference...

Re: [Help] Learning Phpbb and Modding

A good PHP reference with some tutorials on it can be found here: http://www.tizag.com/
I still use this website as a reference.

Re: Blank Page or Site Integration

I don't take credit for this page, but I do take credit for typing "phpbb3 blank template page" into google and clicking "I'm Feeling Lucky" :P

Re: User could only post URL after tese conditions

For this, would you rather have the forum show an error when a user not meeting these requirements tries to post a URL or just have the url BBCode not show the URL? In all honesty, it would be easier to have the board show an error when a user tries to post with a url tag in it. EDIT: Here's a quick...

Re: [Request] Dice Roller/Random Number Generator

I wrote a dice bbcode and submitted it for validation. Once it is through that, I'll post the link to it here so you can get it. This one stops people from being able to cheat by rolling the dice more than once. Once it's out, feel free to let me know if it is what you are looking for and if there's...

Re: [Request] Dice Roller/Random Number Generator

Here's something I wrote up real quick for this. It is a simple BBCode that Will role a certain number of certain sided dice based on what's in the BBCode: [dice]3d6[/dice] will role three six-sided dice and add the total [dice]1d20[/dice] will role one twenty-sided dice and add the total [dice]2d8[...

Re: Anti Double Post

This is an excellent mod, and one of the best utility mods I can think of. I added a little to it to add a little more functionality. With this replacement, the administrator can use %u to display the user's name and %t to display the time in the seperator text: Find in posting.php: $message_parser-...

Re: Mark edited posts as unread

First of all, excellent mod.

As far as your response to Nicole86, removing the SQL stops updating the time, but it also stops making the posts unread. I'm not too familiar with how the posts are marked read and unread, so I can't really offer a suggestion at this point.
