Re: Custom php.ini Settings VS Shared Hosting Plans

Some hosts block some changes in php.ini. Is that what your question is? Nope, in fact almost all of them (to my knowledge) would do so to equalize service to all customers on shared. Not sure if I had a direct question, I am more interested in the conversation, like this: however, many many of the...

Custom php.ini Settings VS Shared Hosting Plans

It's recently been brought to my attention that some, if not all, shared server host packages will not allow several custom server settings with in your php.ini file. Some of these settings that may be not customized on shared are, may not be limited to: max_execution_time max_input_time memory_limi...

Have followed this viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2404261#p14624741, installation seems to complete but ACP shows this:

phpBB 3.2.png

Any pointer please.
Do exactly what it says, through your FTP, rename or delete the /install/ folder of phpbb after installation.

Re: Error after the Update to 3.2.0

Have you deleted the install folder after your update? What instructions did you follow? You should probably use a backup and do a fresh update.

Re: Is it possible to add a blog to a phpBB forum?

I have mine backwards, WP is parent www.thetopfew.com and forums is www.forums.thetopfew.com ;but you can setup it up anyway you like! Since your forums is already your main domain, you don't have to switch it, which is really nice! WP will just be an addition for you. Who's your host? Honestly most...

Re: Is it possible to add a blog to a phpBB forum?

Success! :D Well done! Note, what Mick was referring.. your templates require those <!-- variables --> in order to process extensions, so be sure to never remove any you're not 110% sure about removing. I'll take a look anytime I'm free, and be sure to revisit! Yea, man, we'd be happy to have you o...

Re: Is it possible to add a blog to a phpBB forum?

This is a simple copy & replace. Copy the code I gave you, and replace your "© 2017, 556FILES.COM" with the new, in the same file you're editing now.. overall_footer.html. If you're editing a different file, you're in the wrong one! http://image.prntscr.com/image/6e7c43afb55b461ab79576fc6a5d3f5c.png...

Re: Is it possible to add a blog to a phpBB forum?

It sort of worked, but now there are two copyrights, and the new one isn't even in the right place. It's just kind of floating in space between my background and wrap, way off to the left. You simply find your old copyright, and replace it with new code. OR, I kinda think it's looks better at botto...

Re: Is it possible to add a blog to a phpBB forum?

Try this in your /template/overall_footer.html. Powered by phpBB will be credited on index only/always. Your copyright will appear below it on index, however by itself on every other page. Change 2016 to the year you've started your site, and the script will auto-increment year in the future! You j...

@canonknisper: I seen they both were called, and how the one class is on responsive-hide, however I was drawing blanks as well to why both loaded when everything does seem correct like James said too. I think you're on to something, perhaps within js?? @James: yes please note again I was only propos...

Cheers Greg. I'll wait until I get an outcome of the new account test before editing the file
You Bet! And sounds like a solid plan mate!

FYI: I just checked in another browser on another account, change is working fine. However I did not make a new account, you got this!
