 Duh me
When I edited the db file to change the phpbb_ to bb2_ I was editing the original file I downloaded, not the one I put in includes.

Seems to work ok :)

I tried the flat file cache and it works perfectly. I can't really tell a difference since I have a home setup, but it does seem to work. Now to just figure out what is causing the db cache to malfunction (I have phpbb2 installed twice so I can test both boards at same time)

Not sure if I'm missing something, but it's not working for me :( I renamed template.php to template.php.old and then copied template_bd_cache.php.txt into /includes and renamed it to template.php I did a global search/replace of the new template.php to change phpbb_ to bb2_ and made the table in my...

I second Euclid - it's available from CVS and is pretty straight forward as in 'normal' html. Personally I'm gonna modify Euclid to take out some of the nested tables that aren't necessary for my needs. What's really gonna be exciting is when they launch the phpbb2 themes site - download a theme, po...

If you are comfortable with CVS I'd recommend getting the latest version. Then go into admin, under styles admin, click ADD and choose a Euclid template. Euclid is pretty straight forward from what I've seen - you can open it in your html proggie and change things rather easily. I can't wait for the...

bold outlines

i'm not sure when this started, but now the black outline around the boxes of posting.php are alot bolder. used to they were normal, like 1 px - but now they are like 5 px. this is the only place i've seen it (in posting.php) so not sure if this is intentional or accidental.

sounds like your schema isn't up to date. best advice is to get a new version from cvs

when you got phpbb2 from cvs (or unzipped it from someone who got it from cvs) the config.php is empty. this is intentional. when you run the install it will put the info in config.
