Re: [BETA] Dicemod

alright everybody, new version 0.8.8 is out. for the general updatelist, see op. it includes a couple of small bugfixes, so if you had trouble using dicemod before, it might just work now. i introduced a new dicemode "string" and removed "totalonly" [dice=string] results in displaying some kind of r...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

I had this mod working before today, now for some reason when posting it shows as the code [dice]4d6[/dice] instead of the actual dice rolls. I fail to reprocude this error :/ Reasons why the code does not get parsed could be: Dice not allowed (which you ruled out), BBcode disabled, an alternate 'd...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

also it doesn't seem to matter if dice are enabled or not as if there's an apostrophe in the post the SQL error above is appearing. That should not be the case. If rolling dice is completely disabled in a forum by setting the forumsetting "Allow Dice" to no, the redefinition of the post msg by dice...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

god bloody fucking damn. that's what you get when you get too hacky with this crap. I'll try and look up and copy how the original phpbb submits the message to the database. If anyone needs this to work asap, just add $dmessage = str_replace("'", "\\'", $dmessage); before $message_parser->message = ...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

Update is out, see op. I replaced the link to 0.8.4 with a link to 0.8.4b. It's really just a small adjustment. If you don't want to download the pack for it, just go to posting.php, around line 1200 find $db->sql_freeresult($result); } $message_parser->message = $dmessage; $sql = 'UPDATE ' . POSTS_...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

Hi folks - I installed Dicemod on my 3.0.9 forum, but all I'm getting when I post a diceroll (say [dice]2d6[/dice]) is [dice]0[/dice]. I've scanned through the history on this thread, but haven't found my error yet. Anyone have any pointers for which file I could have edited wrongly? Much obliged f...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

- If a user edit a post with a dice roll by modifying it, the dices are not longer shown (being replaced by a code like [dice:1de74j6a]0[/dice:1de74j6a]). This can reverted by editing and saving the post again or disabling/enablig the bbcode in the post, but anyways is a problem. did anyone else ha...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

sorry for the downtime, but I think you've come to know it. the unfortunate errors are caused by a faulty placement of a block delimiter. it left the variable $dmessage at ~line 1201 in the posting.php undefined. when the undefined variable got used in an sql query it either resulted in a message wi...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

well let's hope a bunch of fairies help me finish my other stuff, so that I can get to editing that parser thing ^^
I'm really sorry, I see that there is a demand, but I honestly don't see that happen anytime soon :/

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

yea, but as said, the ability to roll dice per your example would require major rewriting and restructuring in pretty much every part of mod. since i don't have any personal need for it, it just becomes work -.- so you won't see that until a time of major boredom arrives.

alicia86 wrote:Anyone having the issue with 3.0.10 and the 0.84 release with text not being updated to the database?
could you elaborate?
the only thing I changed in the db was that I moved the version number of dicemod there.

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

That multiple rolls with identical settings of yours is just thankyou-candy for you testers ^^ I am not sure what you mean by 'identical settings'[...] i meant this: [dice = num(10)]1d20+10[/dice] that will be done even though I don't need it ^^ because it's easy to do. and because I don't need it,...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

oof. sorry, but that's beyond my needs for the mod AND it's more than snipping with my fingers. I'd have to restructure pretty much every single function for that. Unless someone pays me to do it, you will have to wait until I have absolutely nothing better to do with my time. For now I'm just whipp...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

nope, that isn't possible as of now.
but it should be rather easy to do, after all it's just making multiple rolls with the same parameters.
gotta check if this affects the bbcode_bitfield first.
I'll include it in the next update. don't know yet when that's gonna be though.
