You´ll have to wait for next version of the main class ... Please be patient ... Hi Smix, now the topics have 100 caract...

Re: [DEV] lastRSS autoposting bot MOD (0.1.3)

Hi Smix, I changed the class_lastrss.php file as you said due to my php4 version. But when the mod tries to post a topic, I have an error message: SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Out of range value adjusted for column 'topic_time' at row 1 [1264] SQL INSERT INTO phpbb_topics (topic_poster, topic_time, forum_id...

Re: upgrade to 3.0.2 -> fatal error

The "funny" thing is that the error message appears before having the opportunity to run the automatic install package ... What I will try is the following: - replace the clean functions.php - run the automatic update script - re-apply mods to functions.php ... and pray to make sure this w...

Re: upgrade to 3.0.2 -> fatal error

@ stevemaury: I used the 3.0.2 functions.php, and no error msg anymore. I took this file and added mods, and re-tried the automatic update package --> same error as previously: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home.29/b/l/i/blitztra/www/forum/includes/functions.php on line ...

CMS / Portal mod?

I installed phpbb3, and now would like to revamp my static pages into a CMS / portal with menus and standard CMS / portal presentation capabilities. I read 2 things: - use a standard CMS (Nukem, Drupal) and integrate phpbb3 -> too complicated for me (I only want to manage a couple of static pages) -...

Another issue with special character

Hi Smix,

Perhaps this is not new for you, but special character such as quotes (") are not supported in topic title, generating a error message when trying to import them into the topic table.

Thx again for all your effort in this (great) mod.

Re: [DEV] lastRSS autoposting bot MOD (0.1.1)

stupid question, but in your proposed function:

$string_final = utf8_recode($string_to_recode, $original_encoding);

how do I determine $original_encoding ? 'iso-8859-1' ?

if so, the subject should be cleaned like this:
$subject= utf8_recode($subject, 'iso-8859-1' );

Correct?
